Here's a look inside the 'Halo 5: Guardians' special editions

"Halo 5: Guardians," arguably the biggest video game to release from Microsoft this year, will arrive in little over a month, offering the first original entry to the franchise on the Xbox One. Those who opt to pay for higher-tier versions of the game will receive them one week in advance of its Oct. 27 launch date. While this does not give early access to the game itself, the digital version that ships with certain editions will be pre-installable via a redeemable code. Alongside the game, all the physical goodies will also be shipped a week in advance.

In anticipation for the release of the next game in the classic franchise, Microsoft's Larry Hryb sat down with the game’s developer, 343 Industries, to break down all editions of the game, and what can be found inside them.

In the video, Josh Holmes, executive producer on "Halo 5: Guardians," talks through the contents of the Limited Edition and Limited Collector’s Edition of the game, alongside an in-depth preview of the Halo-themed console. From this, we receive a look at the contents, in a physical state, after only appearing on graphics beforehand. Most impressively, we see how the collector's statue scales in real-life, which is obtainable for $249.99.

The most expensive edition of the game, the Pink Mist Edition, which includes all the contents of the Limited Collector’s Edition bundled with a replica of the iconic Needler, was not shown. We do however, get a preview of many additional accessories releasing this fall, including the Halo-themed controllers, and headset manufactured by Astro Gaming.
