Microsoft Band gets another discount in the US, now available for $99.99

With the Band 2 now available, Microsoft and its retail partners continue to clear inventory of the first-gen health- and fitness-focused wearable, which is currently on sale in the US for $99.99.

Microsoft and its retail partners have been working to shift stocks of the first-generation Band in recent weeks, clearing the way for the new Band 2. The original model has picked up plenty of short-term discounts lately, and now its price has dropped yet again.

The Band is currently on sale via the Microsoft Store for $99.99 - a savings of $100 on its original list price. Microsoft had recently been selling the health- and fitness-focused wearable for $129.99, but this latest deal slices a further thirty bucks off that price.

Along with the Microsoft Store, Best Buy is also offering the Band for $99.99, but that's still not quite as impressive as the $79.99 pricing (briefly) offered by the retailer a few days ago, before it too bumped the price back up to just under $130.

If you're not keen on buying the older model, though, the new Band 2 is now on sale for $249.99.
