Microsoft unveils new Sport White Xbox Wireless Controller

Microsoft is no stranger to releasing special editions of its Xbox Wireless Controller, and you can already find a wide variety of designs in the Xbox section of the Microsoft Store. Recently, it even made it possible to design your own controller through the Xbox Design Lab. Today, the Major Nelson blog announced a new Sport White special edition of the Xbox Wireless Controller.

The new design is mostly white - based on the white color available in the Design Lab - with a grey/silver D-pad and analog sticks, a diamond pattern on the rubberized grips and a mint-colored accent on the back of the controller. The controller is inspired by athletic themes and it does look quite striking. Availability is planned for July 31 in the U.S. and Canada through the Microsoft Store for $69.99, with worldwide shipping starting on August 7.

Along with the controller itself, Controller Gear is releasing a charging stand following the same design language, making for a pretty stylish combination. The Sport White Special Edition Xbox Pro Charging Stand will be available in North America on August 7 for $49.99 in Microsoft Stores and select online retailers.

The article has been updated to include the price of the controller itself.
