Netflix's latest update brings Dolby Vision content to the LG G6

If you are the proud owner of an LG G6 and have been looking to put the Full Vision display to good use, your time has now finally arrived. Netflix has recently updated its Android app to version 5.0, which will allow users to take advantage of the streaming service's Dolby Vision and HDR content.

The updated Netflix app has been going out in waves over the past couple of weeks, so this might not be new to some, but as of now, all G6 users should have the latest update, giving them access to the content.

Since LG's Full Vision display supports the Dolby standard, movies and TV shows should look quite impressive on the 5.7-inch QHD Plus display. While the LG G6 is a necessary component for enjoying the higher quality content, users will also need to be subscribed to the $11.99 premium plan that enables access to Dolby Vision and HDR content.

Although the Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are HDR compatible, the devices are not currently on the compatibility list on Netflix's website. Naturally, this could be updated in the near future.
