New Brothers in Arms game in development at Gearbox Software

Brothers in Arms is a popular shooter franchise that has seen a number of iterations over the years. Lately, they've been Android and iOS releases, but it seems like a proper entry in the series is in development at Gearbox Software. Gearbox was acquired by the Embracer Group in April 2021, and since then there's been a major push to release more games because Gearbox owns a lot of popular titles.

In a recent podcast with Insomniac Games' Ted Price, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford confirmed that his studio was working on a new Brothers in Arms game. He said the following.

I didn't announce Borderlands 3 until it was in beta, and it sucks because I know there are people, there are a lot of people. We're working on another Brothers in Arms game, but I'm not saying s*** until we have it. And we have fans who really love that, and they're just going to have to suffer.

While Pitchford's words may not be so eloquent, it's great to hear that there's a proper entry in the Brothers in Arms franchise in development. Hopefully, it'll be a first-person shooter unlike some of the mobile games and will be officially announced soon.
