New Windows Phone apps from Microsoft include #wpdev, Channel 9 and more

Microsoft has been busy publishing a number of new in-house Windows Phone apps in the past week, including the official #wpdev app for developers, the Channel 9 video app and more.

Besides issuing new updates for many of its existing Windows Phone apps in the past week, Microsoft has been quite busy launching all new in-house applications for its mobile OS. Here's a quick look at what the company has recently published in the Windows Phone Store.

#wpdev - This app has been created specially for current and potential software developers. The app, which works with Windows Phone 8 and 8.1, gives those developers quick access to resources, training and blog posts to help them make software for the OS, as well as Windows 8. It also allows them to contact official tech advisors for answering questions about making apps for Microsoft platforms.

Channel 9 - Microsoft's video service for developers already has a Windows 8 app and now Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 users can get quick access to those presentations from the company. In addition to viewing the Channel 9 video library, the app also lets users review and rate each clip.

Windows Phone 8.1 Help and Tips - This app has been made just for Windows Phone 8.1 users and offers them a quick overview of the new version of Microsoft's mobile OS, along with helpful tips on how to access its features via video tutorials, an FAQ and more.
