Nyko's Portable Docking Kit brings a smaller docking option for the Switch

If you have been following the Nyko coverage over the past few weeks, you'll notice that the firm is fairly committed to offering accessories for the Nintendo Switch, like its Swivel Grip and protective cases. While it is easy to take the Switch with you on an outing, it is a bit trickier if you want to take it somewhere and hook it up to a TV or display. Although the home dock that comes with the console from Nintendo is a solid offering, it isn't the most portable option, becoming an obvious pain point for anyone looking to share the experience with friends on the big screen. Luckily, Nyko has already prepared something that will arrive later this year that will hopefully alleviate this issue.

The Portable Docking Kit is much smaller in size than the Nintendo dock and will also allow the unit to charge and output to a TV. The unit will come with an HDMI cable and USB Type-C AC adapter and will retail for $44.99. The dock is not currently available but can be pre-ordered from Amazon and GameStop. Although pricing could change leading up to the release, both sites currently have it available for $49.99. If you want it sooner, GameStop will apparently have it in stock in September, while Amazon will have it in October.

If you are looking for another option, the SFANS adapter which is now currently on Indiegogo might be the one for you. In addition to the HDMI out and AC input, the portable unit will also have two USB 3.1 Type-C and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports. The campaign can be funded for $59 and is expected to ship sometime in August.
