Samsung's Galaxy A71 5G UW is coming to Verizon for just $649.99

Today, Verizon announced that the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G UW is coming to its network for the price of $649.99, the lowest price to date for a smartphone that supports both sub6 and mmWave.

While U.S. availability for the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G kicked off last month, it was rumored that there would be a separate Verizon model. Today, it's official that the Galaxy A71 5G UW is coming to Verizon. You can pre-order it on Thursday and it will ship on the 16th.

What's interesting about this 5G handset is that it costs only $649.99. Not only is it one of the lowest-priced 5G devices, but it even supports both sub6 and mmWave. Of course, Verizon only has mmWave 5G right now, but it will launch a sub6 network later on this year. That's why it's stacking up its lineup with smartphones that support both, and as far as 5G devices go, this is entry-level pricing.

Aside from 5G, the Galaxy A71 5G UW packs a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display, with its hole-punch cut-out for the front-facing camera. It has a quad rear camera with a 64MP main sensor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of on-board storage.

The price of the device is $649.99, or $27.08 a month for 24 months. For a limited time, you can get it for $15 a month if you order online or $20 a month in-store, with a new line of service. You can also get up to $250 off with an eligible trade-in. Once pre-orders are live, you'll be able to find it here.
