SteelSeries Stratus Duo: Unboxing and hands-on impressions

For years, SteelSeries has offered up a variety of accessories for PC, consoles, and even smartphones. Its latest product, the Stratus Duo, made its debut in January and is a controller that boasts support for PC, Android devices, and VR headsets.

The controller looks pleasing to the eye with its muted all black color scheme. The construction feels solid despite it being made of plastic and is light in hand, allowing you to play for hours without experiencing much fatigue. The D-pad has a sloped design that allows it to cradle the thumb, providing increased comfort when playing for an extended amount of time. The glossy buttons are responsive, with the same applying to the new triggers with Magnetic Hall Effect sensors, which are meant to feel more consistent when pressed.

So far, the controller is working beautifully, with easy pairing with PC and Android devices. If curious or in need of something new, the controller is now available from SteelSeries, Amazon, and other retailers for $59.99.
