ISRO and Microsoft have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote the growth of space technology startups and harness the market potential of the most promising space tech innovators.

OneWeb is working with New Space India Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO, to launch its internet delivery satellites into orbit. It comes after OneWeb cut ties with Russia over the war in Ukraine.

ISRO has announced that it has carried out Chandrayaan-2's Lunar Orbit Insertion, preparing it for the lander's separation and eventual landing on September 7. The work took almost 29 minutes.

India's ISRO has successfully launched its Chandrayaan-2 mission from its Sriharikota space centre. If all goes to plan, India will be the fourth country to do a soft landing on the Moon.

Five projects involved with the Google Lunar XPrize have been given the OK to launch their projects to the Moon this year. As part of the competition projects must be launched by December 31, 2017.
