Microsoft has three games for Xbox players to try out this weekend, including Star Overdrive and Survival: Fountain of Youth.

Free Play days

It's time for another Free Play Days promotion. The weekly Xbox event is back with a trio of games to try out this time, and they are all available over the weekend for players without having to purchase them outright. One of the three also does not require a Game Pass subscription to jump in.

The latest titles for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, and Core members to try out are The Catch: Carp & Coarse Fishing and Survival: Fountain of Youth. Meanwhile, any and all Xbox players can jump into Star Overdrive without any subscription requirement.

Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on:

From the trio, Star Overdrive puts you into a high-speed open-world action adventure that's set on an alien planet. You roam across this sci-fi land on a hoverboard while chaining tricks, battling enemies, and solving puzzles.

Next, The Catch stays true to its name by offering a fishing experience. The title description says that players need patience, tactics, and precision for this task, with you going after over 35 species of fish, as well as 125 'boss fish' to gain the ultimate prizes. Lastly, Survival: Fountain of Youth drops you into the role of a stranded 16th‑century explorer attempting to stay alive in the unforgiving Caribbean. Aside from the usual survival crafter elements, the title has a sailing mechanic to explore additional islands as well.

This weekend's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, August 17, at 11:59 pm PT. Following this, expect another round of games to enter the program next August 21.
