Torchlight II is free to claim on the Epic Games Store this week

Just about a year after it gave away the original Torchlight, Epic Games Store has put on offer Torchlight II to claim and keep for free this week, taking the place of Killing Floor 2, Lifeless Planet, and The Escapists 2.

An action role-playing title, Torchlight II was originally released in 2012 to critical acclaim, selling over a million copies at launch. It features four-player online coop as well as an original soundtrack composed by Matt Uelmen of the Diablo II fame. Here’s how the Epic Games Store describes it:

Torchlight II is filled to the brim with randomized levels, enemies and loot. Capturing all the flavor and excitement of the original, Torchlight II expands the world and adds features players wanted most, including online and LAN multiplayer.

Epic Games Store is offering Torchlight II for Windows and macOS, however, it is also available for Linux via Steam, where it is priced $19.99 at the time of writing. Here are the minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP SP3/Vista/Windows 7
  • Processor: x86-compatible 1.4GHz or faster processor
  • Memory: 1GB System RAM
  • OS: Mac OS X 10.8, 10.9, 10.10
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0GHz or faster processor
  • Memory: 2GB System RAM

If you wish to claim Torchlight II, you can find it here. It will be free to claim until July 23, which is when Epic will put on offer Next Up Hero and Tacoma for its next giveaway.
