We finally get a closer look at Samsung's ATIV S Windows Phone 8 device in this hands-on video posted to YouTube today.

The video originally uploaded by GSMArena and made private soon after, was re-uploaded by NewsTechChannel. The hands-on video gives another look at the device and some of the new features in Windows Phone 8, including the new home screen, wallet application and child safety features.

The ATIV S, announced back at Samsung's Unpacked event at IFA 2012, was the first announced smartphone to run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system. The device features a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear of the device, and a 1.9-megapixel camera on the front.

The device is 'coming soon' to the UK retailer Phones 4U, however, no specific dates have been announced; pre-orders for the device have also appeared on Expansys.
