Unboxing and application of the Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM HD screen protector for Nintendo Switch

Whenever a new device is released to market, there are a variety of different screen protector options. But if these are available prior to a device hitting the market, chances are fairly high that they won't be cut properly, leading to either alignment or coverage issues. Naturally, when news started surfacing about scratches appearing on the Nintendo Switch's display simply from placing it into the dock, the purchase of a screen protector became a high priority.

The first protector purchased had improper cutouts and alignment issues despite being an officially licensed product. After using this for two weeks, it was time for an upgrade. Spigen has had a fairly good track record in the past when it comes to their screen protectors for smartphones, so it was worth giving them a shot.

What came in the mail was the Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM HD screen protector. The kind folks at Spigen even sent a follow-up email, making sure that it arrived safely. Mind you, all of this customer service was provided for an item that was purchased, this was not sent as a trial or review unit.

The application was fairly straightforward and applied without any major issues. While there were a couple pieces of lint on the outer edges, they were easily removed using the included lint removers. Perhaps best of all is that you get two shields in the box, just in case you completely fail to put it on the first time or if something happens to the one that is applied. At a cost of just $8.99 from Amazon, the Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM HD screen protector is easy to recommend and priced fairly.
