MrWatchDawg
Congrads man. My parents also got me a new car (https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=107208) and I know how it feels. In school everyone is like jealous and ****. Not like I go to a ghetto school or something but you know there are some people in the world that are like that. I would just say Hang Tight man but great car and consider getting alot of phone numbers with the car ;) Ask me! haha..Although I still got some without the car! ahah
....
What's really funny here....is that the welthy parents are buying you....a Jeep. Shows that they really don't have a clue in what they are buying. Nothing like buying you a car that isn't very well made. There's one thing being wealthy, there's another being smart. A fool and his money are easily separated.

Its basically if I do good all over I get treated right but if I mess up then my life is a living hell! yet my parents still make me do everything...Like clean the car, make pay for the gas, and everything else... nekrosoft13
oh and speaking about parents buying kids big new cars. back in high school there was this one kid, that just turned 17, got his license for 2 weeks, and parents bought him a brand new Navigator. 4 days later he got into a accident, wrapped around a light pole. kid almost died, spend 2 months in hospital. Shibby
i am going to be driving soon well about 2 years i am coming up to 16 in march. and i know what sorta car i am going to get. it will have to be small, no big engine like a 1.8, got to be good make last long, got to have a good miles to the gallon(but small engines car now days are getting alot better) a low insurance group (do americans get this?) and it got to be a car that i like. and at the moment i really like the size and speed of smart cars(yes them tiny dinky things) they are fairly cheap brand new basic basic model is about ?5-6k(i hear u say thats a bit much for a 699cc car) it costs this cause it partly made by mercades benz and the engine is also by them. so as u can see i like this car because it really cheap to run insure as well. also if i can afford a bit more hopefully i mite go for a smart for four or roadster but that a bit to much

Mark Otto
Your parents must be insane. No kid is going to appreciate the value of such a car when it is just handed to them on a silver platter. I have had to earn every single damn thing I own. Nothing was ever given to me and I would not have it any other way. There is no better satisfaction than knowing you have worked hard and earned that nice shiny sports car. ****beans keldyn, you're right. i hate people who get things just handed to them...it shows that some people just dont and probably cant work for their own welath. tell him to return the piece of crap and have him put you to work for minimum wage and work for your own ****ty 89 ford escort. as with keldyn ive paid for just about everything that i have, and im only gonna be 17 in december. paid for my first car, paid for my new car (almost $7000 USD), the insurance for my car, my cell phone, my computer, my entertainment (TV, music, DVDs, etc), food most of the time, and I usually buy my own ****ing clothes. why? because granted everyone loves to be given things, some people like working for the rewards they get out of it. do you even have a job?

All I'm saying is man get a job and work for your own good, don't just take things. Shows how people can just throw money around like that and not even put it towards theirselves. And "god" bless america for what? 4.78 USD for a gallon of gas is ****in bull****...here the highest its gotten is 2.07 or so...now down to 1.62. my point is work for what you get...so you shut up man, and like keldyn said no one can appreciate what they have if they didn't earn it. getting things for grades in school is ****ing bull****. the only thing you should get from grades is a compliment from your damn parents. Mark Otto
and just a side note, here where i live the gas prices wouldnt be so high if we didnt have indirect taxes on it. taxes on gas here generally run from .5 USD to .8 USD....rip off if you ask me.
