John is now 15 minutes away \m/ But I'm leaving for work shortly.... nooooo!

PSN is still having issues so even if it arrives you won't be able to sign in sadly. I've gave up for now. Got tired of entering my password over and over.

Hope it arrives safely though!

Just for the lulz I decided to see how bad the wobble is and for whatever reason, mine doesn't  Still just the same 3 rubber feet on the bottom of the console too. Edit: never mind, only way I could get it to wobble was to put my finger tip in the side groove and then it wobbles. (trying not to touch the shiney plastic :p). Doesn't seem like it will be a problem, as I was really trying to wobble it with force to the top and it wouldn't budge.

Did you get yours yet, AB?

Yea you need to put SOME force to have it wobble.  That was one of the first things I checked after coming to grips that my first PS4 was DOA.

Waiting is the worst part...

For me, the worst part was seeing "Out for Delivery" when doing the status updates... seems like it took forever...

Likewise.   Was pretty upset when my replacement PS4 had the out for delivery status from 8:15AM -> 5:15PM (I finished work and rushed home to wait for it) after doing constant refreshes, the status had been changed to: "Customer will be contacted to arrange delivery time".  Wasn't too pleased, called purolator and got lucky.  They had it, but were closing at 6.  I got there at 5:55PM last Friday (they are close Sat/Sun).

Yeah, its not a big deal at all unless you find yourself pressing on the console a lot now that you know its there

Still unable to do the day 1 download/sign into PSN.

Pretty much have a useless brick right now. It's a little annoying - Sony knew how many consoles they'd sold, so should have had the server capacity to deal with it.

go to the playstation website & dl the update to a usb drive. then you'll at least be able to play games

Received ps4 today, very pleased with it. Even smaller in person.

Only gripe is I didn't appear to have a 14 day play station + code with my console :/

not fully sure but I think that may have just been for the day one edition

There is no code! It's only available for new signups and is available through the store, or well it would be if you could get into it

ah,

haven't been able to get mine yet so I wasn't sure how it was being distributed :p

So it sounds like that even with Sony's best efforts to prepare, psn is still very spotty on launch day.

If its anything like here in the US, it could be very spotty over the next 2-3 days.

I noticed the PSN has been super slow the past couple days here in Canada.  Took a solid 30 seconds for it to get past the blue screen on my PS4.

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
