Totally agree. The problem is not the top 5% complaining about easy content, it's more close to 50%+ people complaining about easy content now. And this is where it becomes a problem.

What makes it even worse is Blizzard stated they will never bring back difficulty like Sunwell. For them that's a road they left. I don't really understand their choice tbh. How hard is it to make 3 levels of difficulty, normal, medium and hard. They already do it with 5-mans (Although that's not true anymore seeing 90% of the heroics are a joke).

Making stuff more accessible to everyone does not mean making the game so easy you can just AoE pull complete rooms and walk out without a scratch.

I started playing again after 5 months to see how LK was going to be but I doubt there will be anything to do at 80 seeing how little new content there is in LK compared to the old continents.

11million subs until see something that shows 1-2million people complaining not just the fourm goers, I side with blizz on making things easier.

lmao Sethos, I was just about to say that.. I was thinking to myself "why in the hell is Andrew even spending TIME in Kara, much less the money/gems to socket that armor, when he walks out to the first quest giver in Northrend and replaces all his gear within 1 level.

Resocketed my gear hat I got in Kara tonight:

2qbrr5w.jpg

I think this'll do me. :)

Ummm I dont know why your doing kara. Anyways seeing as thats tanking gear heres some advice from a warrior tank:

Dont ever ever ever gem for Haste or Crit or Armor pen. Geming for AP is also bad, if you wanna gem for threat, use strength. The hit rating gem can be ok.

Oh and also, ignore socket bonuses 90% of the time. That +4 dodge rating wont save your life.

If your geming for tanking you'll want pure stamina gems. If you want avoidance get the 8 dodge rating or dodge/stam.

I'm ticked.

Went through Old Kingdom tonight with a rogue, a 70, who got,

Blade of Nadox

Binds when picked up(106.6 damage per second)

+21 Stamina

Durability 65 / 65

Requires Level 73Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 42 (1.53% @ L73).

And when we got to the prince he dropped

The ****** needed both, when we gave him the dagger and I told him I wanted the amulet, and proceeded to win it. :| :(

I'm a total newb when it comes to WoW so please don't laugh at me. :ermm:

Currently, I have a level 61 Orc Hunter spec'd for Beast Mastery. I was thinking of switching to Marksmanship to fend off so called "gankers". Right now, I can take on most people around my level. Heck I managed to kill a 65 Rogue one time. Anyway, I found a crossbow and I can't use it. It says I don't have the proficiency for it yet. Where can I get the training to use crossbows? Thanks!

BM until 80.

I'm a little sad that they didn't open up some TBC or classic-exclusive realms. I'm on Frostmane (EU) with my Pala, and I'm terribly annoyed of how little people run anything preWotLK on my realm. Not a single heroic or raid at lvl 70 ever gets done anymore.

And then, there's the WotLK stuff. Great, all looks good, but then quests start boring you. You go do some dungeon (only to notice every boss has a 3 item loot table !?) and you get the item you want. Great. Then you go to Dalaran, and you see like 1000 people with the same thing, sometimes maybe a different color. I don't know what they did, but if there's one thing I loved about WoW is that you could be sort of unique, with special gear and stuff. Things that aren't as common as most people have. Now that feeling is all gone, since everyone has the same gear...

That's a consequence of a number of things.

1. People complained that while levelling all the gear would make them look like rainbow coloured fruitcakes. In response, for WotLK, they decided to make a lot of the levelling gear fit well together so that your character wasn't as laughable as BC levelling.

2. A lot of the content is easier, raids, heroics, etc. This means that more players have easier access to the [previouslly] exclusive sets.

3. Perception. Towards the end of BC there were a huge number of entry points for raids. Some raids had Sunwell, some had BT, others had TK/SSC, mabye alts only had Kara gear. Right now, there is only a single tier of instances, with a single set model with a couple of different colours. As more tiers are added, and the content becomes harder (or they start rewarding loot for "hard mode" achievements - ie. Sarth + 3 drakes), the gear spread will increase.

Thanks for the help. I talked to a friend about it and he said the same thing. I'll re-spec to Marksmanship for PvP when I hit 80.

In an effort to eventually have an alt of every class I did recruit a friend with myself today and rolled a mage/shaman. Got them both to level 20 today. :)

Wait, how did you do that to yourself? I don't get it.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
