Can anybody log in fully? Burning Legion is up, but when I select a character I go to the loading screen, the progress bar fills up, and nothing.

EDIT: It appears this is widespread :/

lol, bitched at the billing department for having a lovely little "bug" that likes to reactivate my account. Got a week free. -2 days from automatic reactivation, that's +5 days profit. :p

Extended maintenance and issues of course. That's simply to be expected (sadly).

I've been in since 4.

Did my first Random Dungeon (H-AN) got the two Frost Emblems.

Picked up a quest in Dalaran to head to the Forge of Souls, just downed the first boss in FoS.

Also, the previous Daily Heroic Quest Giver now give out weekly Raid Quests?

The one I got was XT-002 Must Die! Worth 5 Triumph and 5 Frost emblems.

Just not a patch day without issues. :p

I'll be in the shock the day we do have an error free big-patch day lol.

Update: Blizzard is giving everyone a Corehound pup vanity pet for those who have a Blizzard Authenticator.

Now, this sort of has me questioning their methods, as it appears they're trying to offer security and a pet at the cost of an authenticator. I'm not sure how much of an effect this has on password strength, but why is it that security appears to be a "concern" when the passwords for WoW / Battle.net accounts aren't even case sensitive?

Is this a bit backwards, or does case sensitivity not really matter that much?

if you have an iphone and play wow, no reason not to get the authenticator for your phone. its totally free and added security is great.

the pup is an awesome pet. does tricks and all :D

too bad my 7day promo is almost done and will be puttin accnt on the market.

Let's see, after maintenance, extended maintenance, and resolved connection issues... we have the new LFG system which is semi-broken, leaving people with "dungeon is full", "additional instances cannot be launched", and "instance not found"... only to toss you out on your ass with a 15 minute debuff that prevents you from being able to try again.

So... what am I doing at the moment? Playing CoD4... :p

By the time I got home from work today (7:15 pm local time) my guild had cleared all 4 bosses once on 25 man and was working through it again on alts. This expansion is worthless: since it started there hasn't been a dungeon that lasted more than 1 raid week unless you decide to cripple yourself with nonsense like "do this with only 4 groups" or "tie your hands behind your back and try it again".

This new policy of shipping everything with easymode on from day 1 is just plain not fun.

I transfered my paladin to Lightning's Blade and gave him a faction change. Good riddence to leave the alliance. I may actually be able to raid too now. Seeing people in ICC without me in there killed me inside.

On another note I added an authenticator to my account to get the pet then immediately removed it. I've never gotten hacked so I dont need one.

Patch day seemed to go pretty well for my realm, Deathwing, and the battlegroup server. I was lagged out about 80ms more than I normally am.

A few times the new dungeon finder feature would try to load a dungeon and it would get stuck then time out. But usually clicking on the "return to dungeon" button would work. I like the new dungeon finder feature and I like how the player pool is larger from different realms. This should make it a lot easier to find a group for dungeons, especially while leveling up.

You get the Core Hound Pup for any authenticator, not just the key fob. There are free mobile apps for a bunch of different devices at mobile.blizzard.com

Yup. Hell the guild I currently reside in (not really raiding with 'em) already did the first two bosses, and if it wasn't for the lag probally would have all 4 done. They'll finish it tonight. And this is a guild with next to no hardmodes in Ulduar cleared and still haven't killed Yogg on 25 man. But yet they are 2/12 in Icecrown already and 2/5 heroic ToC. :(

It's the first and easiest wing of REGULAR ICC. I think everyone needs to just relax and see how it pans out before screaming about it being too easy.

Regardless, no instance should be that easy and that's the only thing we've seen the entire LK cycle.

Need we remind you of Black Temple and Hyjal? I know its not the same comparision (especially since ICC is the top raid tier and BT wasnt) but up to Archimonde Hyjal was a snooze fest and Black Temple only started to get hard at Bloodboil.

I agree, it's just the regular version, I'm sure the Heroic difficulty will be much harder. You guys are complaining because they are making the game achievable for casual players who make up the majority of the player base. Just wait until you can do it on Heroic and stop complaining about regular.

    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact.
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....

    • I can barely recall getting web results from a file search... I must've turned it off long ago. 26H2 is Insider's Preview build 26300.8697, which I am running, atm. It is not available for people running the standard commercial builds of Windows--only for the beta test Insider's group. But anyway, as mentioned in the thread, this feature has been around for a long time...
