Vista automatically detected and configured my LAN. I checked under the status window and it says that it is connected to IPv4. I didn't have to do a thing, it was all Vista. AnalogKid82
Build has been installed. I will say that the performance/speed has been improved alot (I am running on 512 MB RAM), and I am thinking of using this as my main OS. You can't notice that much changes. Desktop screenie attached in post. So my laptop (1.6 PM, 768MB, ATI Radeon 8600 128MB) might have a chance? Or will I need a new laptop to run Vista (probably Home Edition)? It'll run alright currently, but you won't know how well it can run on that hardware until it approaches RTM.
sleekgeek
I've seen Vista on a Compaq Armada M700 (P3 749MHz, 478mb RAM, ATI rage 8MB) So you shouldn't have a problem.

StartMeUp
Yeah why is it that Microsoft always bundles low quality pictures/wallpapers? Wallpapers in Windows XP are low res. In Windows Vista they added high res wallpapers, 1600 by 1200, but these are sample pictures and not wallpapers.
