Vista Build 5472 To Be Released This Weekend

Recommended Posts

Awesome build in my opinion. Have been using the 32bits build before (because of the file size, slow internet) and have now switched to 64bits and it's crazy fast compared to beta 2 32bit :D I use it as main os now because my xp installation cd is broken :s

who could get the realtek ALC880 drivers dated 2006/07/14 to install on this new build? i've had no luck so far and i also tried to manually install them it always says "this driver is not intended for this platform"... seems like vista isn't accepting old drivers from winxp anymore...

I can't add new users in this build, i can choose name & user type but after clicking apply they don't appear. the box stays blank as does the user picture ?

it's a bug...it's happening here too. I'm not booted into Vista right now, but if you bug it and post a link, then I will V & V

I'm not exactly liking the new basic theme :( Can anyone with builds 5384 or 5456 send me the basic theme file for scrap metal :) ?

How the msstyle works has been changed for 5472.5. You can not use the aero.msstyles file from any previous build of Vista on 5472.5

I reburnt the iso & this time it installed fine, only problem i've got now is the language bar keeps reappearing on the startbar.

Open up the options, then under the second tab (can't remember what it's called) select the 'hidden' option :)

Nice one ! now if i can just force firefox to the default browser i'll be happy, all links opened in windows mail open in IE7. There are 3 options in default programs (under protocols) which refuse to change to open with firefox ( have turned off the option in internet settings for ie being default ).
