OMG, I got a warning! Now what?

Recommended Posts

OK, getting back on track to warnings......

I wasn't told in the PM I got how long I wasn't allowed to have a sig and an avatar for. What is the usual ban length for this?

There's no set length. If we've repeatedly had to tell someone what the guidelines are and they still managed to go wrong with their sig, it would take a lot for us to believe that this time it's finally sunk in to their head.

tut tut tut people!

i think at the end of the day, dont step out of line and you wont get warned!

ive been here what seems like forever (yes i know it hasnt been that long) and i dont think ive ever stepped into a thread and something has been done my a mod or admin that looked out of line! all i have to say is it seems to be a general consesnus that those who are complaining have got warnings (yes i know its not all so please dont come and attack me for that) personally, i just think some ego's have been hurt and people find out that their is a limit on what they can do or say on the internet no matter what you have thought in the past!

suck it up people, you stepped out of line no behave like the rest of us!

I got two warnings, one was fair the other was not.

I am sure I may deserve two more, so I will take it with a pinch of salt and stop calling people a moron, ha ha.

Life is too short to whine and moan about every detail especially as I am rough n ready.

don't push your luck, tone of voice doesn't work over the intarwebnet
Then why is nothing done about these rediculous examples of authority.

Because they do more for the community than the ones who are more lenient. Whilst we have power hungry mods (who are not as bad as on some boards), people will be more wary before breaking the rules.

As i already said, keep your nose clean and play nice and you will not run in to issues on Neowin.

Well, for the record, you will get a warning for calling an idiot and idiot even if they are indeed an idiot.

It is sufficient to point out their logical/factual mistakes and allow others to draw their own conclusions.

Actually the issue is unrelated to "my friend". Thanks.

I didnt check, but didnt you say earlier on in the thread that this WAS related to your friend?

So is it or isnt it? Please tell me, i dont think my head can take any more of this confusion you are bringing!

Face it though mate... neither you or your friend are going to have the warning taken off your profile unless it was a complete mistake they put it on yours.

    • No updated SSD capacity, no updated specs (not surprised tbf), just nostalgia baiting! Bring back the boot sequence and the UI as an easter egg!
    • Why? It will just cost so much more and make you PC poor and they become PC rich off your calamities! “Just because you can” isn’t a flex either!.
    • Microsoft confirms a new, useful Teams' app is coming very soon by Sayan Sen In the modern digital workspace meeting recordings and summaries are very commonplace, still finding the right recap later can be surprisingly difficult. To address that inconvenience Microsoft is working on a new dedicated meeting recap application designed to bring all meeting recaps into a single, centralized location. In a recent announcement on its Microsoft 365 roadmap website, the company has confirmed the new applet and has explained how the new experience will work and why it believes it can help users stay on top of discussions without having to search through multiple chats, calendars, or files. For those unfamiliar, meeting recaps provide a summary of key discussions, decisions, action items, and other relevant information generated after a meeting ends. They are intended to help participants revisit important points while also allowing those who missed the meeting to quickly catch up on what happened. Traditionally locating older recaps could require users to navigate through various conversations or meeting histories. The new meeting recap app aims to simplify that process by gathering all available recaps into one dedicated hub. According to Microsoft, this should make it easier to browse past meetings, review outcomes, and stay informed about ongoing projects and discussions. One notable feature of the applet is the addition of quick filters which are meant to allow users to instantly narrow down the list of available recaps and surface specific meetings without manually searching through extensive records. Audio recap is also there. If you're wondering how long these recaps will last before self-expiring, the app will provide access to meeting recaps from the past 30 days or approximately one month. You can view the feature entry here on the official Microsoft 365 (M365) website under roadmap ID 564614. Its rollout is set to begin this month (June 2026). Do keep in mind though that new feature rollouts often get delayed.
    • Does it have couch co-op is the question I have here.
