actually i would normally wait...but as i just got a new harddrive and my old one died, im in a serious need of a pc and am waiting so i can install Vista. i dont want to dual-boot with xp....but if i SERIOUSLY have to i will...

so my grades depend on their ability to ship within the next few days.

plus its wednesday, and i doubt they shipped last week or it would have gotten here already.

because then i have to bother with reformatiing, reinstalling an OS and creating partitions...then backingup and migrating data and apps.

Thats why I suggested installing only the OS and the apps you need to get by. Keep everything else neatly backup and ready to go for when Vista arrives.

Wow... thats just... nevermind

i just find it strange when people link their PC to survival... I'm sure it's frustrating waiting on a free copy a $300 OS... if it was truly linked to your survival you'd put down... what? $600? $700 for that basic MSDN subscription to get all OS releases early ;)

no to my school survival...not life survival. ive had no personal pc for what 7 months now? ive been switching between my dads and y brothers. i need my own back up so i can work on my own time...

so are you going to run a new setup of your own?

I had emailed the support people for the offer since I was moving at the end of the month and wanted to know what would happen if my mailing address differed from the address on my W-9 I submitted and I was told that if I don't receive the package by the end of the month, to contact them and give them my new address so they can ship it there instead.

Sounds like we should be seeing these sooner than later, hopefully within the next two weeks.

damn DHL owned me about 20 min ago i see a yellow van pull up to my house it say DHL .... HOT DAMN MY VISTA ... i go to the door ... its a package for my wife :(

Every sentence in your post I am replying to is racist nonsense. None of it is actually based on any facts whatsoever. All immigrants are seeking a better life too. It's literally the only reason they would risk everything and leave their homes, families, and homeland. They are working and contributing to the economy too, as you even admit. They get the same benefits your partner did AND that YOU are eligible for as well. That is one of the key things of the EU and a mark of a civilization. Racists around the world said the same things about the Irish and Jews and Poles (like your partner) and...every other immigrant movement over the centuries. What's your family's heritage, by the way? Were your ancestors lied about with racist fearmongering crapola by self-entitled locals the same way as you are now? If someone like that said the same things about all people from Poland, like your partner, would they be right? Or would you want them to judge your partner based on who they actually were, not where they just happened to come from?
