I'll definitely join when I get back to college since I would love to leech electricity and leave my laptop on 24/7 for Folding@Home. :shiftyninja:

If you're lugging your desktop rig to college, sure.

If it's your laptop, please reconsider. Especially if your laptop has an onboard Nvidia GPU. :shiftyninja:

Something is wrong with the client on my iMac and it's getting annoying. It will only do a unit to about 5-10% then it starts a new one so I never get any credit for them. This just started happening over the last few days. When i ran it a couple months ago I never had any problems.

Is it just me, or do they update the stats all the time.. "We expect this to take about 45 minutes. "

If they update every hour, and it takes 45 minutes to update... then you have a 15 minute random window to check your status... kinda sucks...

Here.

3rd party site for stats.. Much better also.. more info.

yea it is always this way 45 min every time

and THX for the link

i don't think he'd get quite that much...

my thought was an estimate at best who much he will bring

280 GTX will bring about ~7k gpu client

Q9450 will bring about 1.5k ~ 1.9k smp client

i am not sure cause neither of those parts i own , what i said was an estimate what number peoples pulling

my geforce 88GTS can pull about ~4.5k

my [email protected] can pull 1.5~2k

usually i leave the gpu client i am not leaving smp on most of the time due for being that my main rig

I forgot to mention that once I get everything up and running, I would like to overclock the Q9450 to at least the 3.2ghz-3.6ghz range and overclock the GTX 280 as well.

for a reminder what i told you just an estimations

best way using fahmon once your rig are up and running

it will till you who much PPD you are pulling from each client in your pc , after configuing the app of course

Just FYI I am getting 10635.59 PPD on 2x 9800 GTX cards.

I won't even list the 8 computers it's running on, as they collectively are only putting out like 2500 PPD, and some of them are dual and quad core 2's...

Also BTW, new drivers and some free stuff if you guys didn't see this already.. Physx and Cuda support.

A major compiler is used for both x86/x64 and WoA64 architectures. This also means that all core libraries are re-compiled accordingly which required some changes in the build scripts. One of the core libraries (cURL) has been updated to address vulnerabilities and a nasty linker error that was causing the need for a dedicated patch which could now be eliminated.
