That was an incredible game last night in NY. I'm kinda upset to see the Rangers out. They played one heck of a series. I hope they do better next season

And SJ better win tonight. I wanna see an all Californian Wester Conference Final!

That would be so sweet.

I wouldnt mind that. Anaheim's gonna be tough. Buffalo vs Anaheim would be a great finals tho, New York vs Southern California with the twist that these are the small market teams in both states.

There it is!

Don't grant R-Flex too much pulpit. He pathologically hates whatever those around him like :p.

Ps. to give you a preview into his insight, he believes Theron Fleury is the greatest player to ever grace the ice...

If it wasn't for your love of that terrible team...

But really, Axon has always been jealous of me and my Rangers. That '94 Cup win was one of the greatest moments of my life; even better was when I had the chance to wear a '94 Stanley Cup ring. Axon only seeks to attack my credibility, but he's always been jealous: My fast cars, my money, my beautiful blonde girlfriends- To be fair, Ax does have a greater post count here on Neowin.

Back to hockey. No surprise that San Jose-Detroit is still going. An incredibly close series. Likely, the winner will make it to the Finals. I'm still pulling for my Detroit-Buffalo prediction. I am disappointed that the Rangers are no longer in, but Buffalo is just too good.

Conference Finals Predictions:

Detroit Red Wings v. Anaheim Ducks

Buffalo Sabres v. Ottawa Senators

I've chosen these simply because they were my original picks to make the Finals at the start of the postseason (and for Buffalo, the start of the season).

First Round: 5/8

Second Round: 3/4

I'm not predicting as well as I did last year.

rofl   That's it, when we go to T.dot, you're cut from going with me to my private viewing of Lord Stanley's cup.

Also I'm a subscriber - respect. lol

I'm hoping to see Ottawa beat the Sabres, though I'm not going to hold my breath. Detroit so often does well, I'd like them to fall, purely for spite.

Im rooting for Buffalo the rest of the way I guess... my dad is a Buffalo guy, born and raised, so I'll stick with him. Im pretty sure the Ducks will beat Detroit as they didnt get much of an effort from the Sharks, I saw or listened to pretty much every Sharks game and what I just saw vs Detroit was NOT representative of what they are...frustrating as hell to watch.

I cant root for the Ducks...mother Duckers! :boo:

I think the ducks will use this loss as motivation and come back in this series, im still confident that they can win this series. As an avs fan there is nothing worse than the wings lifting the cup, except maybee the can-nots lifting it instead (but there is no danger of that happening ;) )

I agree with Bayrider, i think this could very well be Ottawa's year.

Anaheim should be able to beat them, but I just hope they don't do what the preds did and get their asses kicked from here on out.

You got to hand it to Detroit, I didn't expect them to even beat Calgary. With the aging and injury prone Hasek in the net, and the loss of coaches and key leaders, I wasn't giving them much respect. But they have proved me wrong, and keep coming, (excuse the cliche) they keep bending but not breaking, eventually demoralizing each time along the way.

The way Calgary came at them when they were in Calgary, Detroit just took the onslaught and kept going eventually winning...

Then San Jose looked FN great against Detroit, totally controlling the play against Detroit who normally controls the pace of play. I would have bet some serious money after it was 2-0 that San Jose was going go all the way. But once again came slowly right back totally demoralizing the other team.

Now Anaheim is starting to feel it, the way they looked last night, expecially Giguere after being pulled and then getting another goal scored on them right away... It's starting to go the same way... Detroit is starting to take over mentally on the Ducks.

I am not a Ducks fan but I really want them to come back and win it all for Teemu Selanne, hes never won the cup and who knows if this is his last year or what. Btw Pronger needs to take it easy, nearly took off Holmstroms head last night, kinda of a dirty hit IMO.

If not the Ducks then Sens I hope should win it all, they've suffered crushing & embarrassing playoff performances the past what 4+ years? Faced a lot of pressure and ridicule in the press. They have certainly paid the price to get where they are at today. They are looking pretty scary right now...
