Bioshock General Discussion ( Xbox 360 )

Recommended Posts

damn i didnt censor the image i posted, but since the game is an 18 and this is its discussion thread, i should be alright

Nice! Just been playing the game today and loving it. Got a bit stuck in a few places where I hadn't looked hard enough for top-ups on my powers etc. I like raiding everything... and everyone. :p

PS: You can say dick if you need to. It's not filtered on here.

Just curious, did anyone else experience the whole textures popping up just like Gears Of War would do?

I cleared my cache and it seems to have fixed it, but it got really bad there for awhile.

Currently in Hephaestus, literally just got here, and am probably going to stop playing for the night.

It seems to happen to me when I play for a few hours. Then if I save, shutdown, then restart the console it seems to fix it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Unreal 3 engine not handling the textures loading into memory properly. Odd thing is I have Rainbow 6: Vegas, which is also on the Unreal 3 engine, but does not seem to have the same textures popping problems.

I actually had an issue on one occasion where it seemed like many of the ambient noises were missing and all of the hacking sounds as well. It persisted for a good thirty minutes before I decided to shut the console off and start it up again. It hasn't happened since, but I thought it was quite strange.

i played the demo wasnt to thrilled about it but after playing it at a local game shop i am really liking it

can somebody who has played the game who has beat it tell me how long the game i dont want to pay $65 to find out after 3 hours games over

That's been happening to me a lot also, rebooting works sometimes. I've cleared the cache and it didn't help either.

Yeah that happened to me too. No biggie.

Took me about 3 days. Friday: 10am-12pm, Saturday: 11am-10pm, Sunday: 10am-1pm

Or there abouts. Took me longer to complete this than it did San Andreas on my first run through and I though that was long! I know the time spend on the game seems quite unreal but I hate someone spoiling the story for me. :p

I just got the game and need some help already. Very frustrating, but it seems there may be a game glitch I've been stuck on for the past couple hours.

I'm at the part where I get the camera and need to take pictures of 3 splicers... I took pictures of 2 of them, but the third (the one in the Upper Wharf) I can't get to because of the gate blocking me in the Lower Wharf. I killed the Big Daddy through the gate there but I can't get through the gate. There is no visible lock on the gate that I can shoot to get through and I don't see any way around it.

Perhaps this was just a bug in the game where I did something 'out of sequence' so I can't get through that gate? This is so frustrating. Man, and I was really starting to enjoy this game.

i hate those moments in games where you know what to do, or at least think you do, but can't find any logical way of doing it.

well, bioshock is beckoning me on the shelf here but promised myself i'll finish some other games first...hmmm the temptation.

Yea... what I ended up doing was just restart the whole level. Shame.

I just beat it, and wow, what an incredible game. Definitely one of the best I have ever played. As for Bioshock 2, multiplayer would be very interesting, but I'm curious as to how they're going to progress the story, I loved the story mode. Although it was heavily scripted, it was a reasonably good pace and there was enough freedom that you didn't get bored. Great stuff. (Y)

Just beat it yesterday. Great game. I thought the end was a little dissatisfying, but I'll have to see the ending after saving all the Little Sisters. Also, I was playing on medium difficulty and Fontaine was easier for me to beat than a lot of the Big Daddies...

I just played the demo(x360) at a friends house yesterday on a beautiful 40" samsung

HOLY CRAP THAT GAME IS FRIGGIN BEAUTIFUL :o

The lightning, modelling, water, EVERYTHING

*jaws dropping*

But that game is creepy as hell :D No way I can play that alone in a dark room ^^

Don't expect to see a Bioshock 2 imo

Agreed. If you want to see the ending look on youtube.

The 'good' ending is more satisfaying than the 'bad' ending imo, and Fontaine on hard is a bit more challenging as your health drops faster.

I hope there isn't going to be a BioShock 2, it's perfect the way it is, no need for any prequel/sequel/spin-off story or any multiplayer elements.

A prequel would be good. It'd be interesting to be involved in some of Rapture before it went completely insane...

Not sure how they'd do a sequel though since there are two seperate endings... One in which you essentially grow old and die happily (the good one) and the other you take control of Rapture. I wouldn't really want to play a game based on either.

Uh, spoiler?

    • Can you still click his nose in the about box?
    • In that case this product has no value to me. I'd rather use older Creative SB that were better in my opinion or onboard audio chip.
