i guess the smart thing would be netherlands to purposely lose to romania to avoid letting italy/france through and possibly meeting one of them in the semi's

It may end up happening, not because they will let Romania win, but because they may rest some main players so Romania will have an "easier" task.

As of now, only Portugal could....

At this moment, I agree. Spain may be able as well but I will decide when I see them play tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Spanish! What ever the case may be, I hope we can pretty much say Italy is done, Germany needs to prevail, and Ronaldo needs to get injured for 10 years :ninja:

Ronaldo needs to get injured for 10 years :ninja:

Considering your avatar, makes sense you would say that. Just like your club's move of releasing the news of Scolari's hiring, when he specifically told Chelsea not to do it when Euro 2008 was still going on, in hopes of disturbing Portugal's team.

I guess some England supporters still hold a grudge from loosing against us in 2006 and 2004...

soooooo

Zidane was France's everything huh?

i knew it.

No, he wasn't their "everything", and he's not the only player they lost.

Barthez, Desailly, Lizarazu, Pires, Trezeguet, Zidane... (and many more if you include those who left the team after winning the World Cup...)

They're obviously not the same team like in 98-04 so you cant expect them to play like that...

barthez.. well coupet is not as good as barthez but even if barthez was playing in euro 2008 the score lines would not change much

desailly... gallas is not as good but there is not a great difference between them

pires... ribery is 5 times the player pires is

trezeguet... the stupid coach could pick him but he did not. also henry is way better than trezeguet.

zidane... noone can ever replace him

sooooooo

zidane was EVERYTHING for france.

with zidane they got 1 world cup. 1 euro cup and played final in the last world cup.

without zidane... they are horrible.

they do not have maestro

anyway

TURKEY WILL KICK SOME DUTCH ASS IN THE SEMI FINALS.

I don't think that game could have been topped. Was brilliant stuff to watch. Holland got damn lucky, but how about the quality of every goal. Robben and Sneijders goals were simply out of this world. Holland, Spain and Portugal seem to be the main contenders for the title.

Here's hoping that France and Italy give us one hell of a game when they play, they've both got absolutely nothing to lose, and they may just go out all guns blazing.

WHATS UP DOC?

Oh you must be hungover by now. :p :p :p !

I'm glad I was wrong ;)

When it comes to our national team I always have low expectations, because I used to have high ones as a kid and the netherlands never won anything... :p so hope for the best, but expect the worst eh :D It's just all the better when it turns out to be great ;)

Well, if you think Kuyt is an idiot and does not do anything right you clearly know nothing about the finer details of football.

Kuyt is such a hard working and clever player. He creates space by drawing players out of position and chases every lost ball, he is a superb player to have in your side as he contributes so much to a team that often goes unnoticed. Torres would not have scored a lot of the goals he has this season if it was not for Kuyt's superb work.

Robben is a good player, but is a different type of player totally; he is more direct and pure dribbling, skill and pace, a classic winger in those respects. He does however, only seem to have one scintillating game every five games, and for the rest he is largely invisible, not to mention he is injured 80% of the time.

Robben's goal tonight was class though, and Kuyt's was not that bad either.

Anyway, the whole point of my post is that Kuyt is not an idiot :p

Ah who cares, 4-1!! :D :p

Man we had a great night celebrating. I hope the Dutch keep this up, it'll be a pricy few weeks with all that beer.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
