58 and 39! Hell ya! That was an intense game. Got the Snake Eyes wildcard (11 kills two kits) the Explosion one (10 kills via explosion's).

Got the 3 kills with a mortar, last 3 kills of the game. :)

Need a saviour trophy to get the Gold Support Patch. Which is like neigh impossible.

Currently rank 18, pulled 1189 points that game. Managed to destory nearly 200 trees also, so less than 150 away from that achievement, 2k points away from rank 20, and 6 awards away from halfway! Hell ya!

(excited)

Good games guys  Had fun tonight (Y)

I so whipped your ass in that tank race Michael :p

I really hope it's not long before they bring out new maps. Kinda getting tired of playing the same 8 (which aren't really much different from one another).

I so whipped your ass in that tank race Michael :p

What?! You were so sucking on my exhaust, I even made a perfect PIT manoeuvre on yo' ass, I so took you down

But yeah I had fun, didn't even get frustrated - Red Faction has shown me how bad games can actually be, so I just couldn't get myself to whine or complain.

Since you're getting tired of the maps, will you finally give away your routes and secrets?

Pah, nevar!

Unless you donate me MSP :p

Yeah yeah, if it helps you sleep at night believing you won, so be it :p

Yeah that break over the weekend made it a lot more enjoyable, but I still want more maps! Or even another game mode, older BF games used to have Classic CTF too

Well, saying that, they included new maps for free when they ported BF Modern Combat to the 360. Of course they had to offer something new for people to buy it.

Maybe they'll do the same this time around. I hope! After all they are giving Battlefield Heroes away for free.

So you want recompense before you release "Munkys Secret Passageways" :p

Hell yeah :p I'll also accept beta keys which I'm not already a part of or a job at Bizarre. Wink wink :p

had a couple of very low scoring rounds yesterday against you guys, but got my Dog tag from Habnad at least.

I was playing SP, and when I responded to Munky's invite, but no room when I joined.

@ynnoj, I will try to be on later as well. usually 9pm GMT or after

Yeah sorry about that man. When I invited you it was just Sethos and I, then Habnad sent a message and Larry joined. You still managed to join the game though so thats cool (Y) We've had to do it a few times in the past.

I might be online, but won't be a midnight run because I might have woken up a sleeping beast last night whilst playing with all my talking

So if you are playing a bit earlier - 8-9pm I'm up for it, 'else I might just scratch my ass and watch a few movies.

Had a 3 hour session early this morning (of course, nary an American could be found at that time!) and had a blast. I'm almost to Rank 8 - meager I know but for me it is only a sign that I like the game enough to keep playing it! Finally unlocked the mortar strike, so that should help me a bit. I wish there was a way to see what class guys in your squad are playing. At one point we had 3 snipers and a support. Got kind of boring to me as my mates were all hidden in trees.

I agree with the maps, we need more! I wish there was one similar to Kirkuk (sp) or whatever the major one was from BF2. Oasis is good but so spread out and vehicles are a MUST.

Whoa wait a minute here...who/what/when???

But, hehe, I finally did get Munky's tag ;)

Sigh, its true, he did :(

Took you long enough :p

I did get you back though, and I was thinking earlier. I already have your dogtag and I can take it as many times as I like just now without the worries of the lag glitch :p

Be on the look out ;)

When did you get me back? We were on the same team for the rest of the rounds, weren't we?

What's his gamer tag? Because now I'm on the hunt... ;)

Damn, I had no clue it was 37,000 until I read this thread. Damn it. I still have 6,000 to go then.

Good times though last night, sorry I cut them so short. I actually checked out Madden with my friend a bit later on, he hardly plays any video games and kept saying, and I am not kidding "what's up with all these buttons and how do I hold this thing" and yep, he wound up beating me. I hate Madden as a result. Will be going back soon. LOL

I ended up picking up Madden last night. I have the same thoughts as your friend. There's way too many buttons/button combos. LOL Thinking of that Larry the Cable Guy bit he did during one of his shows "Wheres the button to pass???"

No kidding, since I rented it from Gamefly and had no manual, we literally had no clue how to tackle!!!! Finally figured it out towards the end, but us having trouble is WITH pausing the game and going to the Game Controls. It is a semi joke, and that is coming from someone who is obviously good with a controller.

You should see the manual. It's almost sickening with the amount of stuff to remember. I havent played a Madden game in years, so at least this will give me a decent amount of play out of it to try and remember all that.

Are you going to be around tonight? I should be able to play for an hour or 2 tonight. Help you out with those last points you need for Rank 25. I'll just take a Hummer or Tank, randomly crash into things (read other team LOL) and let you repair the vehicle.

    • As I've been usually saying lately - we all can thank "AI" for this.
    • Friday Windows 11 preview builds are here. Insiders in the Experimental (formerly Dev) and Beta Channel can download builds 26300.8697 and 26220.8690. My Windows11 device on the Preview Channel just got 26220.8728. My guess is this build is a nightly update from 26220.8690.
    • Traffic has a surprisingly unexpected impact on your surroundings by Sayan Sen Image by Radik 2707 via Pexels A collaborative study by researchers from several Israeli institutions found that everyday pollution from traffic and industrial activity measurably changed the atmospheric electric field over the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, providing new evidence of how human activity can influence the lower atmosphere. The research was led by Dr. Roy Yaniv of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Gertner Institute at Sheba Medical Center, Dr. Assaf Hochman of the Fredy & Nadine Herrmann Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University, and Prof. Yoav Yair of Reichman University. The study also involved Itay Froomer, a student from Hadera High School and the Israeli Museum of Medicine and Science (Technoda), who carried out the work as part of the Ministry of Education's 5-unit physics research track. The researchers focused on the atmospheric electric field under fair-weather conditions. Even in the absence of storms, a weak electric field naturally exists between Earth's surface and the atmosphere. One of the main ways scientists measure this field is through the Potential Gradient (PG), which is the inverse of the vertical component of the electric field. PG is a key part of the global electric circuit, a planet-wide system of electrical currents maintained by thunderstorms and electrified clouds around the world. Scientists have long known that the atmospheric electric field can be influenced by factors ranging from large-scale atmospheric processes to local weather conditions such as dust, fog and clouds. Human-made pollution is also known to play a role, but understanding exactly how urban emissions affect the electric field close to the ground has remained an area of ongoing research. To investigate this relationship, the team analyzed measurements from a newly installed electric field mill, an instrument used to continuously monitor the strength of the atmospheric electric field. The instrument was installed at the Center for Technological Education (Roter House) in Holon and became operational in August 2024. It was funded by Israel's Ministry of Education and the Holon municipality. The electric field mill forms part of a broader monitoring network that includes nearby meteorological stations and air-quality monitoring sites. This allowed researchers to compare electric field measurements with detailed weather data and pollution records to better understand what was driving changes in the Potential Gradient. The study focused on two major urban pollutants: fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), both commonly produced by vehicle traffic and industrial activity. PM2.5 refers to microscopic airborne particles small enough to remain suspended in the atmosphere for extended periods, while NOx is a group of gases released during fuel combustion. Researchers examined daily, weekly and seasonal patterns in the atmospheric electric field and compared them with changes in pollutant concentrations. Their analysis revealed a clear relationship between NOx levels and changes in the Potential Gradient, particularly during morning and evening rush hours when traffic emissions were at their highest. “What we observe is a direct physical link between emission peaks and electrical variability,” explained Dr. Roy Yaniv. “NOx reduces atmospheric conductivity very quickly, so the electric field responds almost instantaneously during traffic rush hours.” Atmospheric conductivity describes how easily electrical charges move through the air. According to the researchers, nitrogen oxides rapidly alter this conductivity, causing a near-immediate response in the electric field. PM2.5, however, was associated with a delayed response. The researchers attributed this difference to the particles' longer atmospheric residence time, meaning they remain in the atmosphere for longer periods, as well as their different microphysical interactions with surrounding air and atmospheric components. The study also identified a pronounced "weekend effect." In Israel, traffic volumes and some industrial activity decline significantly on Fridays and Saturdays. During these periods, concentrations of both NOx and PM2.5 dropped, and corresponding changes were observed in the atmospheric electric field. “The weekend signal demonstrates just how sensitive the electric field is to changes in human activity,” the researchers noted. “When emissions decline, the electrical environment adjusts at once, providing a high-resolution indicator of urban atmospheric conditions.” The findings showed that pollution levels can influence not only the chemical composition of the atmosphere but also its electrical properties. Researchers said the results strengthened the case for using atmospheric electricity as an additional tool for environmental monitoring, particularly in densely populated urban areas where anthropogenic, or human-caused, influences are most pronounced. The study also pointed to potential public health applications. By combining air-quality measurements with observations of atmospheric electricity, researchers said they could gain a more complete picture of how urban atmospheric conditions change over time. “Integrating air-quality data with electric-field measurements gives us a clearer picture of how the lower atmosphere evolves moment by moment,” the researchers added. “It’s a framework that can support both scientific insight and practical environmental decision-making.” Beyond the scientific findings, the project highlighted a collaboration between universities, public institutions and secondary education. Researchers said the work demonstrated how students could take part in real-world environmental research while contributing to studies of air quality, atmospheric processes and their potential effects on society. • We aren't even at the all-star game and Microsoft is talking about an update that will most likely be released during the World Series if not after. A lot can happen in the world between now and the 2026 World Series, including the 2026 FIFA Cup. Tell me about it again after the FIFA Cup is concluded. That should allow plenty of time to prepare for it.
    • Great, tell me when I have a "Bad Pool Caller" elsewhere not in Windoze.
