Eugh ****es me off no end when the first server I join the heavy there had everything unlocked. When I called him up on it he was all "I dont have time to unlock them"...

Jesus, within the first hour of it being released. Idiots.

get mad all you want. I'm one of those people that use an achievement unlocker.. i don't consider it a hack at all, as i'm against cheating. But i hate joining a server with people not playing, they are just farming for achievements when i just want to play a game.. so farmers tend to ruin the game alot more then people who use an achievement unlocker. The way i see it, achievements are fun, they are a nice little add on to the game to give you a little extra incentive, however i do not agree at all with having to unlock a bunch of useless **** to get some extra weapons that i should be entitled to anyway.

Call it what you want... but i'd rather unlock everything within 5 seconds then spending hours upon hours ruining the game for people with my ****ty agenda.

If anyone wants the achievement unlocker send me a pm... i don't know if this is against the rules or not, but this is NOT A HACK, you don't even have to be in game to unlock them, as the lockables are all stored in your steam directory.

oh and just a sidenote to those that i've discussed this unlocker with... i know you have no reason to believe that it works or that it's not a virus/key logger of some sort, so i'll say this publicly so everyone can see. I've been a member here since 2002, if the unlocker doesn't work for you or blows up your pc, will an admin please ban my account..lol

If you can't defend by using the backburner efficiently, use the normal flame thrower and airblast.

The Pyro is an attacking class, not a defensive class anyway (Valve clearly point that out) - If you want to soak up damage in defence play a Heavy (Y)

We don't need a class that can not only soak up damage in defence, but is lighting quick and can soak up damage in attack. That's unbalanced.

Just like how the heavy is great in defence, but alone in attack and he's fairly prone to dyeing quickly due to slow movement.

With the Pyro healthboost, we had Pyros running into and downing SGs in attack (without medic), combined with them being a hell of a lot harder to kill in defence due to them soaking up more damage.

Audio, my entire point has revolve around the Pyro being an offensive class. That it's supposed to attack. When we had this conversation before you said the exact opposite. You said he was only supposed to sneak around and light people on fire. How is that offense?

Pyros could not take down SGs in an attack by themselves, plain and simple. You're making that up and that's all there is to it, unless there was an absolutely horribly placed SG. If you want, I'll play with you on a server and we can see how long it takes a Pyro to die taking a SG head on and then look at how close I got to it and whether I'd make it with 50 more. I can assure you if you place an SG well a Pyro will NEVER take it down alone. EVER.

And they were never hard to kill on defense. Be a soldier. Shoot a rocket. One or two rockets and he's dead with he back burner, with the +50.

If an sg is busy shooting at someone else then a pyro and sneek up on it. I love doing that.

After the update did anyone lose their Server Favorites and History data?

My in game favorites and history have always been unreliable in tf2 and cs:s, just use the server list in steam it is far more reliable. (right click on steam in the tray and go to servers)

I check the server list in Steam first.

I don't see any problem with the sandvich, To use it you have to fall back and find a safe spot, that helps the other team, it's no more unbalanced that having a medic sitting next to you healing you (but in that case you can still fire your weapon)

...

Do you find Steam's defragger effective than other 3rd party defraggers? I defrag my games partition using Perfectdisk, yet Steam occasionally complains about <6% fragmentation in the game cache files.

...

Think of a GCF file as a large zip file, even if the file itself is unfragmented, the files inside it can be (which often happens when Steam drops new files in it, i.e. after an update.)

Edit: Also, I got Makin' Bacon :D (and a few other pyro achievements)

I said when using the backburner the most effective method to getting those crits is to sneak behind enemy lines then charge the enemy from behind. Not sneak around permanently like a spy.

I think you're forgetting the flame thrower is the only weapon that can ignite multiple people, annoy and continue damaging for some time. Meaning even if you do rush and die, if your team is behind you you'll have some nice assists coming your way.

On Dustbowl I can take down SGs if they're not manned by an engineer fairly easily depending on where they are placed. Sometimes with an engineer, but mostly not then.

With the +50HP it was even easier.

If you know how to strafe well.

However I'm absolutely fed up arguing about the Pyro with you, you seem to love the class so much you feel it's unfair how they sit.

I feel otherwise, the game is perfectly balanced, let's go our own ways :)

That's right. You can think of a GCF file as a partition in a file, that has an internal structure and can become fragmented (as new files are added/removed/modified) even when the entire file itself isn't.

Last night's 2fort game, there were definitely more pairs of heavies and medics. I still suck in playing Heavy though.

Oh okay, thanks. So I should first defrag inside Steam, then use another defragger if I want to?

Gloves are cool, but the heavy is really too slow to take advantage of the 5 second uber after killing someone. I mean chances are if you've already been in a fight with someone with your gloves, you are low on health, what are the chances there is someone else within range that hasn't taken away the rest of your health.

kill someone with the KGB then switch to minigun to use the 5 secs of crit

kill someone with the KGB then switch to minigun to use the 5 secs of crit

I dont think you get five full secons of crit when you add in the time to switch weapons ('q' buton is the fastest) and the minigun's warmup spin before firing.

The server I play on all of the time (Jiggly's Fun House) decided to have a sandvich party today:

That's hilarious  . One thing I'm still not happy is that it takes forever to update and the number of times the update restart. For example, I had gone up to 22% when suddenly it restarted to 0 again. It's so frustrating when I'm not even downloading anything :( .

That is weird. There might be a problem with your local cache. Might want to consider posting that on the Steam forums and see if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it.

just been in a instant respawn server for 3 hours and i got a few unlocks for Pyro and Heavy http://steamcommunity.com/id/Unimatrixero/...ab=achievements i really like this game now, esp when i get people who will chat with you and give you support, makes the game 10x better

    • I think he means you haven't reviewed previous UFC games. Of course it doesn't matter... Every time you just report on something that involves the President even if just simply what happened you guys usually get accused of being anti-Trump. We live in fun times.
    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

Flip the new mode switcher to Builder, set everything the way you want it, and save the result as a Winhance config or an autounattend file ready for deployment on other machines. Sponsors & Supporters page — the exit donation dialog is gone. In its place, an in-app page (heart icon or the More menu) recognizes the businesses and individual supporters who keep Winhance free. It works offline and is fully localized. Change History — Winhance now keeps a receipt of everything it does. ChangeHistory.txt records every setting change (before and after values) and every app install or removal, with clear headers for config imports and bulk actions. Open it from the More menu. Hebrew language support — Winhance is now available in 29 languages. New Explorer customizations: desktop icon visibility toggles, This PC folder visibility, an icon cache size setting, and automatic thumbnail cache cleanup. New "All apps view" setting for the redesigned Windows 11 Start menu, and the Windows 11 system tray icons setting is now a dropdown with more control. App-local UI zoom — press Ctrl +/-/0 or use Ctrl+MouseWheel to scale the whole app, just like a browser. New External Apps: EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, Rockstar Games Launcher, PowerShell, and Helium Browser. Bug Fixes Layouts no longer clip when the Windows text size slider is set above 100%. Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent — error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features — they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
