From Engadget:

12:28: No subtitles, at least for the movie being shown. incorporated progressive downloads so a user can watch a minute after starting the download. You can sort by genre. Cloverfield, HD rental is $5.99. SD purchase is $14.99 (which is the limit -- no HD purchases?) You can get all the same content on the PC PlayStation Store, and sync to PSP
For anyone behind a firewall at work like myself, see if this works for you as it does for me, it is a link to Kotaku's live blog...

hehe, I remembered this morning that we have a proxy server in another country that allows ALL traffic...(wish I would have thought of that yesterday)got to see some of the Sony stream before I got pulled into a meeting.

lol I realised right after my post.

Neowin is lagging so much though it took ages to edit, and now about 5 people have told me.

It's a start with purchasing of movies, no one else does it I guess.

So sony the BD pusher who said digital distirbution was useless and wouldn't happen this egenration... is pushing digitial ovie distribution... am I the only one who sees the irony :)

Well not like they had a choice, it's hard to outrun reality forever. Not sure I care about actually uying digitaly distributed movies though, if I wanted to buy then I would get them on an actual media.

I'm guessing the Sony service is as US only as everything else though.

Apple does? (not if we are considering only consoles)

I agree, there's not much for casual or hardcore gamers regarding the PS3; movie store, psn, a few good games and stats. Don't forget PS2 lego bundle and PSP GoW bundle.

Gotta agree thus far as well. Highlights for me include the opening games trailer montage and Resistance: Retribution and the short demo of Resistance 2.

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
