What time would the update be out in the UK? like midnight tonight? or what?

According to one of the recent stories on Inside Xbox, it'll be available for us at 10am.

Yeah, it'll be a worldwide launch so the world will have to wait for the US, who'll probably do it sometime after midnight.

Assuming you mean the leak? You are still blocking from downloading anything until tomorrow.

I will be at college, and when i get home at lunch time every bloody xbox owner on earth will be downloading it so it will either not update properly OR take a lifetime to download.

I don't think MS will ever be prepared for this!

well I start work at 10:30 but it's only 5 mins away, I just hope they meet the planned 10am target and it dorsent take ages to download.

None of you seem to be giving MS much credit. The update (currently) doesn't take long to download, these days it's by no means a "large" update and since they're positioned to feed films and other content that range in the multi-Gb to users, I think they'll be ok.

Plus look at windows update - that easily gets 10x more traffic than Live does and it's fine. The problems we had last year were with the live service as a whole, not downloads and updates, that was fine.
