[Official] Resistance 2

Gonna refer you to the Battlefield:BC beta, there were issues with splash damage, stupidly good grenades and low bullet damage that were fixed for the final release.

That seems like variable tweaking, I think he's referring to bigger problems such as graphics and AI.

I'm still getting the game anyway, unless of course it does suck when it comes out (I find that hard to believe but I'll hold my judgment).

Hahahaha, no they weren't

There is still no splash damage in the final, grenades still take out entire squads and people still need need to be filled with half a clip before they die.

Not to mention the atrocious hit-detection issues, specially with headshots.

Well I'm not much of a fan of Resistance but why are you so critical Madhatter? It's just a beta and do you expect people to agree with your opinion to splash ?40 just because the beta is bad. Games can change, and just saying the game is rubbish without taking in other peoples opinions?

Some people like the game, you don't, there's no point in trying to convince them. Just get on with whatever else you're doing.

Yeah I was gonna say, that game was never fixed lol. Its still like that today.

Different matters and issues have all the reason to be separate.

I don't want to scroll through and mess with 20 page topics littered with retarded screenshots and .gifs that don't apply to the final product (your fault btw, quit it.)

And stop cropping quotes as an argument, that sh** is annoying. I don't play MGO but I do respect it as a good game with high production values. I don't play CoD4 but I do respect it as a good game with high production values. I don't play WoW but I do respect it as a good game with high production values. Etc...

Resistance and Resistance 2 are bad games with bad production values and I refuse to respect shoveled garbage. There is too much of it lately.

Take that attitude out of this board please.

You're actually criticizing me posting screenshots and videos/gifs of a PS3 game, in the Sony section, in it's OWN topic? I go through a lot of effort at times to bring every little piece of info I can to some of these topics.

If you dislike the idea of other people enjoying seeing what a game they are looking forward to is like/how it's progressing, do the wise thing please, don't enter the official topic on it, or at least don't enter the official topic NOT expecting media to have been posted.

And no there is no "special" rules to apply for your opinion to be publicized in it's own topic, whilst everyone follows the rules behind an official topic.

You're as equal as we are.

There's no point in official topics for big games if everyone just goes and posts individual topics for everything on the game, especially just for opinions on the game.

Resistance 2 Slapped a 18 By the BBFC

We just took a look a look around the BBFC website to see if there was any game classifications recently given..

Turns out, there was.

A listing from October 13th is on the BBFC website stating that Resistance 2 for the PLAYSTATION 3 will be given a 18 rating by the BBFC which is a rating higher then the 15 rating also given by the BBFC for Resistance: Fall of Man for the PLAYSTATION 3.

FYI, just incase nobody knows, the BBFC are the ones who rate movies, DVD?s and games in the UK and have come under high criticism recently for it?s rating system for games depsite a European age ratings system already in place in the PEGI age ratings.

The listing has no spoilers for the game so you maybe relieved to know that but it does describe the game being:

Contains bloody strong violence

Considering the game has gotten a higher rating then the 1st game, it?s pretty obvious that the game will be more gory then Fall of Man.

Also I just got an email from Playstation Underground with a beta key.

If anyone needs it PM me.

Have to be a regular NW member, then it's just first come first serve.

18 huh? Chimerian boobs maybe?:laugh:h:

I don't know what all of the shouting is about but I find the beta to be completely enjoyable. I haven't had any of the "figure skating" problems that Madd is talking about. Also the game looks considerably better than Resistance: FOM. The textures and everything look a lot better than anything on the Wii.

Now as he pointed out some of the big monsters in Co-op tend to get stuck and not shoot back but like the damn thing says...IT IS A BETA. I expect **** to not work. Now if the full game comes out and still does it that will be annoying.

That's not exactly a hard thing to do

The crap I was referring to was the graphics not the games so much. Also of course Zelda will sell more copies, everyone and their granny has a Wii and Zelda is a more family name. I have a Wii also so don't get me wrong I love Zelda and Mario and everything else but the games just don't look good on a HD tv.

    • Lego Batman 2026 hahahaha. You thought I couldn't reply back???
    • The problem isn't with Epic, it's with the platform holders like Steam and Nintendo, they should be a lot more strict in their review process.

    • Microsoft updates Visual Studio Code with easier language model discovery and in-app search by Paul Hill Microsoft has released Visual Studio Code 1.125, its latest weekly release. This week, the company has focused on discovering and installing extra language models via the Marketplace; searching the web and securely browsing over remote connections without leaving VS Code; choosing how long VS Code waits before installing extension updates; and delivering managed Copilot settings through existing device management tooling. In older versions of VS Code, extensions could contribute their own model providers, but to find these extensions, you needed the right tags to search for in the Extension view. Now, the Language Models editor gives you an Install Model Providers button that opens the Extensions view, which is filtered to extensions that contribute model providers, making it easier to find and install them. Once you install a provider, its model will appear in the model picker. If you use the integrated browser much, you can now look up information without leaving VS Code by typing a query into the integrated browser’s address bar. It will use your configured search engine, the same way a standalone browser does. You can use workbench.browser.searchEngine to pick a search engine. When the browser is opened in a remote workspace, it's now possible to proxy HTTP(S) traffic via the remote connection. This allows you to connect to any ports or services that can only be accessed from the remote machine. If you read our coverage from two weeks ago about VS Code 1.123, you might have seen that extension updates have a two-hour delay as a safety measure. In this update, Microsoft is giving you the ability to configure the time of the delay. You can find it under extensions.autoUpdateDelay. Finally, with this update, admins can deliver managed GitHub Copilot settings through native device management (MDM) channels on Windows and macOS, in addition to account-based enterprise settings files. Settings delivered via MDM appear as policy-enforced in VS Code and can’t be overridden locally. Future updates will extend the supported policy keys across Copilot surfaces. You can download the update from the Visual Studio Code website now.
