[Official] Fallout 3 - DLC for 360/PC released!

Recommended Posts

Fallout3 is still extremely fun to play. Finished the Pitt (finding the damn 100 ingots was a pain in the royal arse), half way through Anchorage, and next is Broken Steel. Can't wait to play the next DLCs! Have yet to play it on Win 7 RC tho.

Should I finish the main quest line before I download Broken Steel? So I can get the most out of the game playing both original and DLC ending?

Don't play the final quest "Take it Back" unless you download Broken Steel. This is because the DLC modifies the game files to change the game's ending and also replaces .bik video files. There might be a possibility that your save game might get corrupted if you download the DLC after completing the game.

Okay, just cos I'm not finished the main storyline yet, have gone off it and not gotten back in. So I won't be purchasing the BS DLC for a while.

Which is the quest before Take it Back, just so I don't start the quest without knowing it!

Ack, I've just let Roy Phillips and his bunch of bunch of ghouls into Tenpenny Tower - however, I had saved a load of stuff in my room. I take it theres no way I can get back in there, without going back a save is there? I've killed all the ghouls I can find in Tenpenny Tower - but it's still not letting me in.

I want my Precision Gattling Laser back :(

Why don't you use the Vengeance from the Deathclaw Sanctuary? It has a damage of 176 as compared to the Precision's 132 provided you have Energy Weapons skill maxed out. The best Gatling Laser in the entire game undoubtedly is the Vengeance.

Yeah you can access them any time, except for the Broken Steel one, which is a direct continuation of the end of the game, so for that you need to complete game at least. But for all the others you just get a new radio station that gives you directions to the new areas/quests.

If I get one of these expansions, can I access them anytime or do I have to start a new character?

the pit and operation anchorage can be done at any time if you havent completed the game ( just go back to an earlier save if you have completed it) , broken steele happens is only avaible after you complete the game

I've never even heard of that to be honest.

I'm not going to bother trying to get it though, as I'm sick of finding Deathclaws everywhere and using all my ammo on them. Only for them to have a crippled leg and leave me dead. Again.

Unless they're Enclave Deathclaws, however..

Explore my friend.Do it as much as you can in this game. With Fawkes, I don't see any difficulty in encountering Deathclaws. If you are annoyed by Deathclaws, what about the Albino Radscorpions introduced in Broken Steel which are thrice as powerful as normal Deathclaws? The Vengeance is the most powerful Energy Weapon in the game and with so abundant EC Pack in the game, you will rarely run out of ammo. Also don't forget to collect the Endurance Bobblehead in the Deathclaw Sanctuary.

Happy hunting in Fallout 3 brother :) .

    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
