[INS] Insomniacs Clan - Killzone 2 Matches Taking Place Now!

Recommended Posts

I would love to play Left4Dead, but I was not sure if I was going to be around. Now I already told AJ I would play with him for most of the day (well about 2.5 hours, which for me is a long time straight), I FINALLY have a day to myself here.

So anyone up for some impromptu COD matches with me and him? He should be on within 40 minutes or so, I can be on in about 10 or 15.

And I really cannot wait for Skate 2, those times we played over the summer were so damn fun, and the more the merrier to me.

Which COD is everybody talking about? I definitely would be up for COD4 anytime this afternoon.

Had a real good time playing with everyone earlier today, no doubt about it. Hopefully I will be around tomorrow around the same time.

I will be hopping on now for some COD WaW if anyone else is around again. Only have 90 minutes today, have to call it a day at 4 and get ready to go out, so if anyone is interested hop on and join.

I'll be playing games once I get my sound system this week (could be Tues, if not Christmas Eve).

I just feel "bad" about playing anything now knowing I have 5.1 on the way

I've also ordered some stuff so I can get my PS3/360 hooked up to the internet at the same time. Right now I need to keep going behind my TV and swapping the Ethernet cable and it's a pain.

I didn't know you applied AB?

I haven't yet, but I just mean play some games with you guys....

Unless I can't before applying?

I'll setup a playfire tonight or tomorrow.

Well clan matches are clan matches :p The whole point of this project is to create a group of people, build a clan and play on a semi-regular basis.

There's no rush to make a PF profile. I'm just asking if you're joining or not.

I probably will want to join, if it's how all you guys are going to play!

I'm not that great at most of the games you're playing though, so I was just planning on joining in for a few games first of all to have some fun with everyone :p

I'm a bit too casual online for a serious clan, but I got the impression you guys are just setting up to have fun anyway?

Or I'd probably get booted for being crap

Saw that most of the group was on WaW yesterday so I'm assuming no COD4 ever?

I think it was because Munky was trying to level up (I know I was trying to)...and that we were trying to annoy Sethos by playing non-HC game types :p

Even though I did see him sneak in on a game of HQ on the other team. :shiftyninja:

I pulled out of this and took down the site, would've transferred it but there's no way to do it - So DM can put it up again with him being admin.

Have fun.

How come dude?

Ha, sorry I couldn't talk much last night, had my earphones in too :(

Played great a few games then played utter ****, that's the way WaW goes for me :p

Me and Munky had a talk and worked it out, this had nothing to do with the clan or any members, nor was it anything between me and Munky either - This was purely me having a very bad day. Nothing has changed except I burdened DM with some extra work by putting up the site again and having to accept the invites again. I will still be helping out and playing select titles of games, so nothing has changed.

Oh and on another note, we had the old Call of Duty Hardcore / Non-Hardcore topic up again and just decided since I'm one of the only people playing Hardcore, I won't be joining any Call of Duty games in regular mode - So if anyone is interested in Hardcore mode, let me know. I will host some Hardcore games for those who care in either World at War or Call of Duty 4. Else I just have to play alone as usual :p

I will definitely be joining you in the HC modes (Y)

I'll be reworking the schedule as well, it seems it wasn't too popular with people the way we worked it out last time. If people can leave feedback and what they'd like changed it'd help a lot (Y)

    • Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.

    • AltSendme 0.4.1 by Razvan Serea AltSendme is a minimal, cross-platform application designed for fast, secure, and private peer-to-peer file transfers. It allows users to send files or entire directories directly between devices without relying on cloud servers, accounts, or any personal information. Everything is encrypted end-to-end using modern protocols like QUIC and TLS 1.3, ensuring both strong security and low-latency performance. Transfers are verified with BLAKE3 for data integrity, and interrupted downloads automatically resume, making the experience reliable even on unstable connections. You can transfer anything—images, videos, documents, and more. Integrity checks are performed on both ends, so your files are automatically verified for correctness during both sending and receiving. AltSendme works seamlessly across local networks or long-distance links, capable of saturating multi-gigabit connections for extremely fast delivery. With built-in NAT traversal and encrypted relay fallback, it connects devices almost anywhere. The app integrates with the Sendme CLI and will soon support mobile and web platforms. Fully free and open-source, AltSendme offers a lightweight, privacy-first alternative to traditional cloud-based services, removing size limits, upload costs, and unnecessary data exposure. AltSendme 0.4.1 changelog: Release Highlights Self-hosted relays: Run your own iroh relay so transfers don't rely on public infrastructure. Includes a full deployment template in deploy/relay/ with Docker Compose for a VPS and configuration examples for production use. Fly.io support: One-click deploy template for Fly.io, including a quick-start config (fly.dev.toml) for testing without a custom domain, plus production setup with Let's Encrypt and your own hostname. Relay settings UI: New Settings → Network panel to choose how AltSendme connects: automatic public relays, custom self-hosted URLs (with optional auth token), or disabled. Test connections, verify latency, and see live relay status in the footer. Disable relays: Turn off relay servers entirely when you only need same-network transfers (e.g. LAN). Direct connections only. No relay hop required when devices can reach each other. Android graduates from beta: Android is now part of the regular release cycle alongside desktop. APKs ship with each version (universal, arm64, and armv7). • You are mostly right about the ephemeral nature of it. As I mention in the article, if you dont add a second device or take a backup of your account before uninstalling it, then yes you will lose access to your account. That said, in terms of actual user experience when you sync multiple devices your message history carries across and there's also a Saved Messages chat like there is on Telegram to send messages and attachments between your installs. But yh, what you point out are correct and its not trying to emulate Messenger or Telegram.
