I didn't upgrade I just installed it in a VM because I'm going to use it as my main, just wanted to test it first.

Spoken like a true beta tester. :)

so far i have heard nothing new about that. just a few ui changes.

Bug fixes man. That's what it's all about.

1. Now, if you change the size of the icons superbar changes and the size of the superbar

2. Now, if you change the settings UAC opens a separate window, not the page of Control Panel.

3. The system does become a smaller scale as compared to 7048, and much more.

Visual changes:

1. Active windows now blink 7 times as mentioned.

2. Changed icons Editor personal character and program of recovery disc.

3.The watermark now says Evaluations copy instead of For testing purposes only.

4. Many new wallpapers.

5. Many new icons added to user.

6. All references to sending feedback have disappeared

:)

interesting, can't wait until rc next month.

Looking real good, I love the new bootup/logoff screens, it's really not the usual Microsoft style something is changing lol, makes me think I'm looking at a Linux distro somehow lol, can't wait for the x64 to show up.

If you search your root drive for your startup folders(2), then delete desktop.ini from them, the notepad file doesn't open when you start/reboot. Need to show system/hidden files to find them.

Thanks for the info :)

your a beta nut aren't you? ;)

im hearing this new build torrent is getting shut down quick. so to those who already have it, be thankful.

How do you shut down a torrent once it is already seeding? At best, torrent sites might remove the reported torrent file from their search results and servers, but it is not that hard for someone to put it right back up anonymously or under a different username for other people to join the swarm.

An upgrade issue I've ran into so far (7048 to 7054):

The following issues are preventing Windows from upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, complete each task, and then restart the upgrade to continue.

* Windows needs to be restarted so necessary changes to system files can be made before continuing.

Upgrading Windows will affect the following devices and/or programs:

These programs might not work properly after the upgrade. We recommend uninstalling these programs before upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel, and search for "uninstall a program". (Note: Programs marked as * can be safely reinstalled after the upgrade.)

    • Can you read? I've said I'm willing to pay more for a notchless (no notch) 3:2 screen.
    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • make your own notch - it's not that hard
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
