Keldyn, have you started using manual controls or are these pics still auto mode?  just curious if you've attempted manual adjustments

I mostly use manual mode now. It gives you greater control in varying light conditions. Just tonite I was taking shots of fireworks over the university so I had to adjust ISO speed, white balance, exposure and I also used a long shutter time to get the desired results. Oh, and I set the camera to "landscape" mode because i wanted to capture the distant city lights below. :)

Very nice pictures Keldyn. I am also thinking of buying the Canon PowerShot S400.

Should I get that camera?

You have seen my pictures. What do you think? lol Seriously, it is one hell of a camera. It goes highly recommended by the fro :fro:

On a side note, I have just entered into a photography contest. Wish me luck :)

Sure thing. Tell me which shot you like and I will gladly post a larger size.

could you possibly send me everything you took in 1024x768?

if it'd help, look me up on aol instant messenger or msn messenger and send me them thru that.

good luck in your photography contest! ;) (Y)

could you possibly send me everything you took in 1024x768?

Ummm...everything? I don't know mate. That is a LOT of pictures. I could zip them all up but it would be a very large archive. While I mean no disrespect, these pictures are my own and I do not want them spread all over the internet for people to do with as they wish. You are welcome to choose a couple that you would like but I can not send you the lot.

Oh, someone asked me for pictures of aussie cars so I will put them up later when I have made them web friendly.

I could zip them all up but it would be a very large archive. While I mean no disrespect, these pictures are my own and I do not want them spread all over the internet for people to do with as they wish. You are welcome to choose a couple that you would like but I can not send you the lot.

Not a problem at mate, don't worry about it. I had noticed someone all ready was using one as a desktop background in the May desktops thread, and I got to thinking your pictures would get me back to using WebShots again, I could make a category and have it change everyday.

So I was paying you another compliment ;) (Y)

I don't mind big downloads at all if you would want to make a zip file for me in the future.

If you'd rather I would only pick a few, that's cool with my :fro: so I'll choose some and mention them here later.

EDIT - Btw, I had noticed I made a mistake anyway. I didn't mean every single picture you took with your camera so far since you got it. :p

I meant all the ones you posted here in the topic.

    • Here is how to watch Apple's WWDC 2026 conference where iOS 27 is expected by Taras Buria It is Monday, June 8, 2026, which means today is the day Apple kicks off its annual Worldwide Developer Conference, WWDC 2026. As usual, today's keynote will be full of consumer and developer-focused announcements, including new versions of Apple's operating systems, developer tools, and more. Apple streams its developer conferences, allowing everyone to tune in and watch the announcements live. Today is no exception, so here is how you can watch it. Apple WWDC 2026 will be available to watch on Apple's official website here. Also, you can stream it on YouTube and the Apple TV app on your Apple device. The stream kicks off at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM GMT+1. Apple's annual developer conference usually focuses on new software experiences, so do not expect major hardware announcements. What is expected is the "27" series of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS. Apple is unlikely to introduce major UI changes, but you can expect subtle tweaks to the Liquid Glass design language, particularly on Mac. One of the biggest changes Apple plans to announce today is a reworked, AI-powered Siri. The assistant will be available as a standalone app with a chatbot-like experience and Google's AI models under the hood. If you want to learn more about what is expected today at WWDC 2026, check out our dedicated article here. However, if you prefer a spoiler-free stream, tune in at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT on Apple's official website, its YouTube channel, or the Apple TV app.
    • For we consumer readers, it would be helpful if you clearly stated in the headline if the article is about consumer or enterprise. Then readers will know if the article applies to them or not. 2 cents.
    • At the moment I have my main PC and a test PC on my work desk. The test PC is also not inverted so I am not looking at the glass panel side, which is irritating.
    • I'm glad you posted this clarification of the cause of so-called Windows 11 update problems that too often appear in the article headlines.. In the future, it would be better to readers if you took your time, did the analysis before posting an article about Windows problems, which end up being a waste of time. Just saying.
    • Nah. They'll milk the current generation in terms of design - controllers, consoles, but no meaningful hardware improvements. This is one reason why people aren't buying Xbox hardware - it's stagnant.
