i'm thinking to get a new digital camera, my finepix 4700 is getting old..

Keldyn, can you take some indoor shots with your camera for me? with and without flash, under low light condition. thanks mate. :)

edit: what is the lowest resolution you can choose? 640 x 480? can you shoot some pics at the lowest resolution you could choose? 'coz i hate to resize 'em.. :)

grrrr! cant find ixus 400 everywhere, a70 and s45 are both good products, but those are bigger than ixus. so im waiting for ixus to arrive.

lol don't get those.. i just headed over to canon.com, the only cameras i would buy from them are those IXUS.. looks better than others.

Keldyn, show me some convincing pics and i'll definitely get it!!! :D

640x480 is the lowest and you have three detail settings to choose from. Normal, fine and superfine.

umm.. i was assuming you took those at high rez and then resize 'em. i would like to see some picture shot at 640 x 480. :)

can you take an indoor shot at 640x480 Superfine?

edit: and how much did you get it for? i found one for $930 online, good deal?

i think, in US its called s400, in asia its called Digital ixus 400 except Japan, Japan has its own name, i dont know, maybe ixy 400 or something like that.

i cant find ixus 400 anywhere here! i want to buy it! :(

lol Thanks anita. I love frogs. I have a whole collection on top my bookcase :) Dragons, gargoyles, all that fantasy stuff I love also.

It's a smooth, creamy liquer which tastes something like iced coffee. Tastes very nice (Y) Baileys on crushed iced with milk is beautiful. :)

what are the differences between the S400 (equvalent to what Keldyn has, but the US model) and the A70? and which is the better choice?

bxboy..i don't think anyone answered your question. since i tried to do research on this very thing before I spent my money, I think I can answer..

first, here are the spec pages...

A70 - http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/a70-60/specs.html

S400 - http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/s400/specs.html

Looking at those pages and comparing, the ones that stood out to me were:

- s400 is 4 megapixel, A70 is 3.2

- s400 has 9 point AiAF autofocus, A70 has 5 point

- s400 comes with Lithium Ion battery and charger, A70 comes with normal AA batteries, forcing you to buy better NiMH batteries and a charger

- s400 comes with 32mb mem card, a70 gets 16mb

The first 2 points are the bigger ones IMHO, but I looked at these 4 things and decided that it wasn't worth the extra $200-250... because really, other than these things, the 2 cameras are almost identical.

      When you're in enterprise IT environment, you're kinda forced into it...otherwise I'm not touching any mail client for personal use.  I can't stand New Outlook. It's complete trash - half the features I need in (Classic) Outlook are just missing in New Outlook. I haven't talked to a single person who actually likes the new client.
