RIP Michael Jackson, i wasn't a fan of his much enough to purchase an album, however i grew up listening and seeing his music on tv and radio. He brought a lot to our culture and should be respected for that.

Just as I thought, it probably had something to do with it:

Last night it was suspected his collapse could have been caused by an overdose of painkillers.

An Emergency Room source at UCLA hospital said Jackson aides told medics he had collapsed after an injection of potent Demerol — similar to morphine.

A Jacko source said: “Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing.

“His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped.

Reading some of the personal tributes to MJ on the BBC website, one of them in particular caught by eye. I've bolded the important bit.

No one will ever replace MJ'S place...... He is the King Of Pop and always will be.... Even though it is very hard to see him gone, he will always be in our heart forever.... RIP Michael... Love You !

ps: we will be seeing you soon..... goodbye michael... love you...

That doesn't mean what I THINK it means, does it? Would people really kill themselves over a celebrity's death? I really hope not... :(

I work in a Police HQ and just finished work and I only just found out, we are not permitted to browse the Internet whilst in work it's against policy. OMG I'm shocked, I cannot beleive it? I understand why the tinterweb is running a tad little slow, I would imagine all over the world people are just crying their hearts out. Never realy been a big fan although his eighties work I liked and some 90's but after that, nothing.

R.I.P JACKO

I wonder how many of all these people who are bashing Jackson is just to maintain certain "high morality" position and not really for conviction.

Jackson was "different", and his behavior alienated many. When the child molestation allegations arose, those who were uncomfortable with Jackson's eccentricities felt vindicated. It makes it much easier to demonize him.

I don't know. I can't categorically say he was innocent of the charges against him, but the evidence wasn't clear, and there was some indication of a "greed" motive on the part of the accuser's family. Jackson's relationships with children were certainly not conventional, but I'm not sure they crossed the line into genuine harm, either.

you first...

Why thank you, I have one. I might be a bit into my Anime stuff but I go to school regularly, have friends and family.

All I wanted to say, I find it extremely stupid to throw away something as precious as someones own life for a person you most likely don't even know personally. Yes he might have done great things and made nice music back in the days but no matter what he did or who he was, he isn't worth dying for. You would gain nothing and only hurt the ones dear to you.

That doctor was the one that shot him with the Demoral shot, before he collapsed. He lived with Michael, and is now no where to be found.

What REALLY is happening? We'll find out in a few years when they make all the movies about "The Michael Jackson" story, similar to Elvis. It happens every time.

It's now been learned that the doctor is in LA talking with the LAPD-- Dr. Conrad Robert Murray.

Here's the 911 call

Also this is from TMZ (take it As-Is):

When EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson's home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene -- but Michael's personal doctor refused to let them "call it" -- this according to sources close to the situation.

When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael for "quite some time." There was evidence of Lidocaine -- an old-school drug that can be used to treat disturbances in the heart's rhythm. Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson was lifeless -- and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body.

We're told Jackson was flat-lined when EMTs arrived.

But our sources say M.J.'s doc demanded EMTs continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.

Once they arrived at UCLA, we're told Jackson's doc continued to personally administer CPR -- even though it was clear Jackson was already gone.

Why ? Next you'll be telling us we should forget all about Saddam's crimes and feal sorry for him , No Michael Jackson is a pedophile and a child molester and thats how he will be remembered . Just like OJ he would have been caught eventually A pedophile is a pedophile simple.

Good riddance to a horrible man .

Point me a faster way to win $50m than calling MJ a pedophile and taking him to court.

Not to mention he was decided not guilty from the charges. I'm not saying I'm 100% he didn't do it, but coming up without proof to call names a dead man of such geniality can't be nice.

It's sad that he died so young. A great performer and will be truly missed. Unfortunately he clearly did some regrettable things in his life, no-one pays off a family if they are innocent.

When you are a very private person who prefers to have your life private, yes you will pay off a family if the choice is between paying off the bitch with what is pocket change to you, or have the federal police and the prosecutors scours through you entire private personal home and private life. And then some unknown source that couldn't possibly be the underpaid standup cops leak everything personal about you to the tabloid. then yeah, you'll pay.

of course this woman pretty much later admitted they only accused him for the money.

And as much as he paid of her and her kid, that opened the door for even more of his "friends" to take advantage of the trust he'd previusly given them. and accuse him hopign to be paid of. wich didn't work out for them so well because this time the prosecution wouldn't settle out of court and he was no longer filthy rich.

so this time he had to let the cops, feds and prosecutors and lawyers and the other predators scour though every square inch of his life. And despite how hard they looked for ANYTHING they could use against him, despite how biased these cops and prosecutors where in this process. He was aquitted.

in hindsight, it would probably have been better for him to have let this run the course the first time. But he truly trusted the fammilies he'd let into his life and didn't think they'd do this to him, not even after it had happened once. But since human people are scum, of course it did.
