Free games are being offered in droves as the new year approaches. The latest promotion is by Techland as the company celebrates 30 years of making games. The classic Western FPS Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is the game on offer this time, and it's available to grab through the weekend.

Released in 2013, this arcade shooter's story puts players into the shoes of Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter with plenty of grand stories to tell. In his adventures, players meet plenty of iconic Wild West characters like Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, Billy the Kid, and others. As Greaves is a unreliable narrator though, the storyline can take some bizarre paths.

Here's the game description straight from the store page:

From the dust of a gold mine to the dirt of a saloon, Call of Juarez® Gunslinger is a real homage to the Wild West tales. Live the epic and violent journey of a ruthless bounty hunter on the trail of the West’s most notorious outlaws. Blurring the lines between man and myth, this adventure made of memorable encounters unveils the untold truth behind some of the greatest legends of the Old West.

Other games of Techland like Dying Light are currently deeply discounted as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations too. At the same time, don't forget to grab other freebies available right now on PC, which include Anno 1404 History Edition, Godfall, and Prison Architect.
