Daemon X Machina is free to claim on the Epic Games Store this week

Daemon X Machina free on Epic Games Store

The freebie train that is Epic Games Store has arrived at another station, this time offering a copy of Daemon X Machina, which has replaced last week's offer of Relicta. As always, the latest offer is available for an entire week before a new game takes its place.

Daemon X Machina comes in as a third-person action game involving mechs, where enhanced humans are fighting a war against corrupted AIs named Immortals. Both the player character and the Arsenal mech available to them are fully customizable, and any weapons enemies drop can also be utilized in missions. Four-player Cooperative play for the campaign as well as versus modes are also available.

Here's the setting as described by the developer Marvelous Inc:

You are an Outer, a new breed of human being that appeared in the aftermath of the Moonfall calamity. As a mercenary for the Orbital organization, you are on the front line of a desperate war for humanity's survival against the Immortals—corrupted AIs that have rebelled against their human creators. Piloting a fully customizable mech known as an Arsenal, you must team up with mercenaries like yourself and complete missions to defeat the Immortals once and for all.

Released in 2020 for PC, the title comes in at $59.99 when not on sale. Here are the minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 8.1/10
  • Processor: Intel i5-3470 / AMD FX-8300
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 / Radeon HD7870
  • Storage: 13 GB available space

The free claiming period for Daemon X Machina will come to an end next Thursday, February 3, with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair taking its place as the next freebie.
