Today, Honor announced its software update rollout plans for Magic UI 3.0 and EMUI 10.0, both of which are based on Android 10. The Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor View 20 will all get Magic UI 3.0 on March 15, while the Honor 9X will get EMUI 10.0 on the same day.
Along with all of the built-in improvements that come with Android 10, Magic UI 3.0 includes its own range of features. Honor has redesigned its dark mode, similar to what Huawei did with EMUI 10, and it's meant to make text easier to read with better contrast. The Huawei-owned company also is promising better consistency in color saturation.
There's a new Camera app, which lets you add filters to photos before the image is taken, and you'll see a zoom bar for easy adjustments. You'll also find easier file transfers between Honor phones and laptops, better security, and more.
While the above devices are getting the update on March 15, Magic UI 3.0 for the Honor 10 Lite, Honor 20 Lite, Honor 8X, Honor 9X Pro, Honor V10, and Honor 10 are currently in development, so that's all coming later on.
