Intel 30.0.101.1340 driver fixes Microsoft Store version Dirt 5 crash, Forza Horizon issue

Intel has released a new Windows DCH graphics driver today with version 30.0.101.1340. The new driver fixes several issues that include games crashing or graphics anomalies. For example, the Microsoft Store version of Dirt 5 would crash and the issue has been fixed in this release. A graphical anomaly inside the very popular Forza Horizon 5 is also fixed, and more.

The full changelog for driver 30.0.101.1340 is given below:

  • Intermittent crash or hang seen in Call of the Duty: Vanguard* (DX12) on 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
  • Crash or hang seen when launching Dirt 5* through Microsoft Store on 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
  • Minor graphic anomalies seen in Shadowman Remastered* (DX11) at High presets, The Surge 2* (Vulkan), Wolfenstein: Youngblood* (Vulkan).
  • Minor graphic anomalies may be observed in Fortnite* (DX11) on Intel® Iris® Xe Discrete graphics.
  • Minor graphic anomalies seen in Doom Eternal* (Vulkan), Forza Horizon 5* (DX12), Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 during video playback on 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics.
  • Crash or hang seen in Baldur’s Gate 3* (Vulkan) after loading screen on 10th Generation Intel® Core™ processors with Intel Iris Plus graphics.

Despite these fixes, there's a very long list of open issues that still remain:

  • Intermittent crash or hang may be seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War* (DX12), Far Cry 6* (DX12)
  • Minor graphic anomalies may be observed in Baldur’s Gate 3* (Vulkan), Dark Souls 3* (DX11), Far Cry 6* (DX12), Farming Simulator 22* (DX12), Forza Horizon 4* (DX12), Gears 5* (DX12), Halo Infinite* (DX12), Metro Exodus* (DX12) (when quality set to low), Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord* (DX11), No Man’s Sky* (Vulkan), Red Dead Redemption 2* (Vulkan), Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint* (DX11). • “Update driver” pop-up error may be seen while launching Battlefield 1* after upgrading from 30.0.100.9955 or older drivers due to the driver version roll-over.
  • [11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics]: Intermittent crash or hang may be seen in ANVIL* (DX12), NBA 2K21* (DX12) (when switching resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 1600 x 900 and 1280 x 720), The Ascent *(DX11).
  • [11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics]: Minor graphic anomalies may be seen in Elex* (DX11), Euro Truck Simulator* (OpenGL) (in main menu on changing graphic preset), Far Cry New Dawn* (DX11), God of War* (DX11), Microsoft Flight Simulator* (DX11) (during installation), Rage 2* (Vulkan), The Ascent* (DX11).
  • [11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics]: Blank window popup seen during gameplay in Diablo II: Resurrected* (DX12)
  • [11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics]: Black screen and TDR seen after launching and during gameplay in Gears 5* (DX12).
  • [Intel® Iris® Xe Discrete graphics]: Intermittent crash or hang may be seen in Call of the Duty: Vanguard* (DX12), Conan Exiles* (Low End Laptop Mode” in game settings), Forza Horizon 4* (DX12), Forza Motorsport 6* (DX12), Mordhau* (DX11) (when launching), New World* (DX12) (when launching), Red Dead Redemption 2* (Vulkan) (MSAA enabled), Spyro: Reignited Trilogy*(DX11).
  • [Intel® Iris® Xe Discrete graphics]: Minor graphic anomalies may be observed in Call of the Duty: Vanguard* (DX12), Code Vein*(DX11), Microsoft Flight Simulator*(DX11), GRID 2019* (DX12), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus* (Vulkan).
  • [Intel® Iris® Xe Discrete graphics]: Error when launching Call of Duty Vanguard* (DX12) on
  • [10th Generation Intel® Core™ processors with Intel Iris Plus graphics]: Minor graphic anomalies may be seen in Chief Architect Premier.

  • [11th and 12thGeneration Intel® Core™ Processors]: Display is getting blanked out with 4K@60hz resolution connected via dock.
  • [12th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® UHD graphics]: Intermittent crash or hang may be seen in Horizon Zero Dawn* (DX12), Marvel’s Avengers* (DX12), Wolfenstein: Youngblood (Vulkan).
  • [12th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® UHD graphics]: Minor graphic anomalies may be observed in Genshin Impact* (DX11), Ring of Elysium* (DX12). • [12th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® UHD graphics]: Blank screen observed on 8k TV Monitor after setting to clone mode with 4k display.

To download the driver, head over to Intel's official website at this link. The driver is compatible with all Intel integrated and dedicated graphics from the 6th Gen family and newer. Intel also released another set of drivers last week that is specifically optimized for its 12th Gen Alder Lake mobile H Series parts.
