PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 to be free on all platforms until May 10 starting today

Bandai Namco will give away free copies of its video game PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC to make it easier for those who are staying at home due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In an effort to promote the stay-at-home movement to beat the spread of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, Bandai Namco Entertainment is going to make PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 free for people to claim for a limited amount of time. Players will be able to download and play the arcade title for free on consoles as well as PCs.

Usually priced at $12.99 on all platforms, the PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 free promotion starts today morning at 10:00 am PDT and ends a little over two weeks later, at exactly 10:00 am PDT on May 10, 2020.

Speaking about the decision to give away free copies of the PAC-MAN title, the Japanese video game developer and publisher stated:

"Our vision is to follow our slogan word for word and provide – “more fun for everyone.” We are striving to provide entertainment that everyone can enjoy in the hope we can bring smiles and laughter to video game players throughout the world during this difficult time. Through this free limited-time giveaway, we hope to bring fun into everyone’s homes around the globe."

Those who are interested can claim the freebie through the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4 platform, the Microsoft Store for Xbox One users, and Steam for PC gamers. It should be noted that currently, only the Xbox One version is redeemable for free. The giveaways for PlayStation 4 and PC users are expected to go live at 10:00 am PDT.
