Redmi Note 9 Pro specs leaked ahead of March 12 unveiling

The key specs of the Redmi Note 9 Pro have been leaked prior to the phone's official announcement that's set to occur on March 12, as confirmed by the company earlier this month. The device will be unveiled in India.

The latest leak is courtesy of Ishan Agarwal, who claims that the Redmi Note 9 Pro will be sporting a 6.67-inch FullHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection. The display will also reportedly have a hole-punch cutout for a 16MP front camera.

Inside, the device will supposedly be powered by a Snapdragon 720G SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Its cheaper version is claimed to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

On the optics aspect, Agarwal claims the handset will be rocking a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP main shooter. This will allegedly be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP macro snapper, and a depth sensor. If the leak is true, it means the phone will have a slightly lower camera sensor resolution compared with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, which has a 64MP rear camera.

Its battery is tipped to be a 5,020mAh unit with support for 18W fast charging. The Redmi Note 9 Pro will also reportedly come in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black color options.
