Resident Evil Village announced, coming 2021 to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam

Today during the PS5-related event, Capcom announced Resident Evil Village, its upcoming mainline title in the long-running series. It'll be out in 2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam.

As part of the PS5 Future of Gaming event today, Capcom decided to take the wraps off of Resident Evil Village, the eighth entry in the series. You can check out the trailer above.

The next generation of survival horror rises in the form of Resident Evil Village, the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series. With ultra-realistic graphics powered by the RE Engine, fight for survival as danger lurks around every corner.

Years after the tragic events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Ethan Winters has started over with his wife Mia, finally living in peace and putting the past behind them. However, Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from previous Resident Evil games, suddenly disrupts their life, throwing a devastated Ethan into a new and twisted nightmare in search of answers.

The horror title is coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, carrying a tentative release year of 2021. More info about the game is set to be revealed in August, as per the official website.
