Amazon has launched a free preview of its generative AI code assistant, Amazon Q Developer, directly integrated into GitHub and GitHub Enterprise Cloud.

Gertner says that it expects 75% of enterprise software engineers to begin using AI code assitants by 2028. This figure compares to just 10% of software engineers who were using them in early 2023.
