Sega has revealed that layoffs have hit a number of its western studios, including Total War maker Creative Assembly. Company of Heroes and Age of Empires IV studio Relic is now independent.

The Sega-owned game developer Relic Entertainment stated today it had laid off 121 of its team members, only a few months after it launched its latest game, the WWII RTS Company of Heroes 3.

Real-time strategy fans on consoles will soon be able to jump into Company of Heroes 3. Relic Entertainment has announced a May launch date for the console edition, which has full controller support.

Another WHQL-certified GPU driver from AMD has dropped, and this one is bringing official support for both Atomic Heart and Company of Heroes 3. Several bugs have also been squashed.

Relic Entertainment has revealed Company of Heroes 3 with two brand new trailers. While the game is slated to launch next year, the studio is giving everyone a chance to try out a Pre-Alpha Preview.
