The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max won't ship until October if you order now

The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max were announced early last week, with pre-orders opening on September 14. If you didn't manage to secure your pre-order on that day and are looking to do so now, you might be in for a bit of disappointment, as Apple's website is now showing deliveries times of two to three weeks out.

The wait time applies to both the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, and affects all colors and storage sizes. If you don't want to wait a few weeks to receive a new iPhone, you can always try your luck by heading to a physical Apple Store, authorized third party Apple merchants like Best Buy, or your preferred wireless carrier.

Those that took the time and stayed up late to secure a pre-order on the first night, should now be receiving confirmation emails, as Apple has started shipping phones to customers. The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will arrive to stores on September 21, while the iPhone Xr will be available for pre-order starting October 19.
