The Red Magic successor will have a Snapdragon 845 processor and 10GB RAM

ZTE's nubia arm has teased the successor to its Red Magic smartphone that made its debut earlier this year. The new model will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and 10GB RAM.

It was only earlier this year when ZTE's subbrand nubia debuted its gaming smartphone, the Red Magic. The unit featured an aggressive design, RGB lighting on its rear, and was priced fairly. Now it looks like the firm is readying a follow-up, slated to arrive with some impressive specifications.

The official teaser image doesn't give the successor to the Red Magic a name, but will apparently arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 10GB RAM. According to GSMArena, the phone will make use of liquid and air cooling to keep things running at optimal temperatures. The unit will also have "3D audio" which could mean that it will arrive with stereo speakers like its competitor, the Razer Phone 2.

If the phone in the teaser image is any indication, it could sport an identical design to its predecessor. Maybe it will even arrive in a camo color. Unfortunately, there isn't a date on the teaser image, but hopefully, this model will arrive sometime before the end of the year.
