Using a mouse with Windows 10 mobile

In the latest build of Windows 10 mobile, you can now use a mouse. In this post, we take a closer look at how the feature works and why, at this time, it's a novelty and not widely publicized.

Last week, Microsoft pushed out a new build of Windows 10 mobile and in this release, you can now pair a mouse with the device and use it like any other peripheral. In the video below, we take a closer look at how the feature works and why, at this time, it's a novelty and not widely publicized by the Redmond based company.

As I briefly noted in the video, only the left click functionality works at this time; Windows 10 mobile did not respond to right mouse clicks or the scroll wheel.

Mouse functionality will be important once Phone Continuum arrives with new hardware sometime later this year. For now, there isn't a great reason to pair a mouse to your phone, seeing as it is already designed for touch, but the feature is there if you find yourself in a situation where a mouse would work better than your finger.
