Microsoft announced last month the Games with Gold for March 2017. We're now in March and the first wave of free games for Xbox Live Gold members has been released. Members can now get both Layers of Fear for Xbox One and Borderlands 2 for Xbox 360 (also compatible with Xbox One).

Borderlands 2 (Xbox 360, March 1 - 15)

As a reminder, you can still get Project Cars Digital Edition (Xbox One) until March 15. And if you're not yet an Xbox Live Gold member, you can sign up right now and start building your games library. If you ever cancel your subscription, you get to keep the Xbox 360 games, but you can only have access to the Xbox One games again if you resume your subscription.
